Continuity mistake: In the 6th season episode, "The Freak Book", when Larry first gives John McEnroe the book, it's a hard cover book with a dust jacket. At The End of the episode when Larry and John get kicked out of the Staple's Center, the book has changed to softcover.
Other mistake: In the second season episode "The Car Salesman", notice the license plate on the real estate agent's truck. It is the same license plate that is later used in the season 5 episode, "The Ski Lift".
Visible crew/equipment: At the beginning of the episode, when Cheryl answers the phone on Larry's behalf, there is a shot of Larry walking around the living room and taking a bite out of an apple. If you look in the window behind Larry you can see the boom pole moving around. (00:02:32)
Visible crew/equipment: When Cheryl invites her friend to go to the cinema with Larry and passes him the phone you can see a brief reflection of the boom microphone in the window behind Larry. Just before Larry says hello. (00:02:52)
Ted and Mary - S1-E2
Other mistake: There are multiple mistakes with the bowling scene in the beginning of the episode. Firstly, Mary is shown finishing her game with a strike. After she strikes she goes back to the table where Ted, Larry, and his wife are sitting. The scores are shown and Ted and Larry say that Larry needs a spare to win. In the scores it shows that Mary's last shot was actually an 8 and not a strike that she had finished with. Secondly, Mary had finished with a 140. Larry's score shows that he has a 120 in the 9th frame, with a strike in his first shot of the 10th frame and a 7 on his second shot. Regardless of whether or not Larry completes his spare, he would not have won, as his max score could only be 140, so he would have tied Mary. And lastly, when Larry goes up to complete his spare which should have had 3 pins remaining, there is a full rack of pins and Larry gets a strike. After his shot it is implied he won the match, even though the scores showed that it was impossible for him to have won. (00:00:10 - 00:01:00)
Ted and Mary - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode after Mary takes her shot at the bowling alley, the shot shows the scores on the screen. It shows Larry is in the 10th frame, with a strike on his first shot and a 7 on his second, with only a spare conversion of 3 pins left. Larry then says he needs a spare to win. When he goes up to shoot, there is a full rack of pins and he gets a strike, instead of shooting at the 3 pins that should have been left for a spare conversion. Also, when bowling on 1 lane as a group, you bowl 1 frame at a time. After Mary shoots, Larry should have had a full 10th frame without any shots. (00:00:20)
Ted and Mary - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: At the bowling ally, when Larry's wife picks up her shoes, the man behind the desk hands her 2 black shoes. As they are leaving, Larry's wife is wearing white tennis shoes. When they arrive at home, she is wearing the black shoes again.
The Bracelet - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: This mistake really applies to two episodes in season 1. In The Bracelet, Larry is approached by a homeless man who thanks him for the Chicken L'Orange. As a result of this (and his unkempt appearance), the women at the jewelry store will not buzz him into the store. The mistake is that Larry doesn't give this man the Chicken L'Orange until the 7th episode, AAMCO. And it is not just that the episodes aired out of order. Because in the episodes between these two, there are references that show that this IS the correct order of this season. So this becomes a circular reference that can't possibly exist.
Visible crew/equipment: Before Larry walks out the door of his house, at the start of the episode, the fingers of a crew member are visible to the right of screen.
Continuity mistake: When Larry and Jeff are at the restaurant and the waiter's arm catches fire from lighting the flambé dessert, Larry puts it out by pouring water on his arm. The wide shot shows the flambé dessert is no longer on fire. But on the next wide shot, the dessert is on fire again.
Continuity mistake: In this episode when Larry is cutting the dolls hair first he starts with a swiss army knife but while he is cutting he is using a regular pair of scissors.
Continuity mistake: When everyone is in Larry's house, sitting in the TV room and eating the brownies, the amount of brownies on the plate changes between shots.
Revealing mistake: In the shot where Suzie lands on the sponge cakes, the safety mattress under the cakes briefly jumps into the frame.
Other mistake: Larry and Jeff are sitting, talking and having coffee. Their coffee is in styrofoam cups with plastic lids. Both Larry and Jeff sip from their cups but the lids are closed not open to allow sips. (00:10:14)
Continuity mistake: When Larry tries on the cream jacket in Crazy-Eyes' bedroom, he drops his black jacket onto the floor. But when he leaves the room wearing the cream jacket, he grabs a black jacket from a hook near the door.
The Larry David Sandwich - S5-E1
Continuity mistake: After Larry's near-death experience, he's at a party talking to Jeff and drinking from a very small cup. At first Larry's fingers are in the handle, but when he actually starts complaining about how small the handle is his entire hand is cupped around the cup.
The Bowtie - S5-E2
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Larry is at Omar Jones' private investigation office for the last time, Jones has a thick amount of hair. In what is supposed to be moments later, when they meet outside, Jones' hair is much shorter.
The Ski Lift - S5-E8
Continuity mistake: When Larry is getting off the bed, there is a pillow on the bed in the first shot. In the next shot, the pillow is absent from the bed and present on the floor. (00:23:20)
The Ida Funkhouser Roadside Memorial - S6-E3
Continuity mistake: In season 4, episode 5, Marty Funkhouser is speaking at his father's testimonial. During his speech, he says that his mother died 10 years ago. However this episode is based around Funkhouser's mother's sudden death despite the fact that Marty previously claimed that she died more than 10 years earlier.
Continuity mistake: Larry is eating his lunch in the rabbi's office. He has a piece of chicken from a breast or thigh in his hand and in the next shot showing the rabbi he is holding a drumstick. (00:26:00)
