Audio problem: When Mikey asks Bud if he can stay at the party in the bar, his mouth isn't in sync with the words. (00:35:25)
Character mistake: When Harm is questioning agent Novack about whether there was an "angry demeanor" amongst the Marines on the day of the shooting, Mac objects that he is "leading the witness." However, Novack was her witness to begin with, and Harm was cross-examining her. Leading questions are permitted during cross-examination; as an experienced trial lawyer, Mac should know this.
Critical Condition (3) - S8-E1
Continuity mistake: When Mac is trying to decide which book to pack, she is looking at both front covers. When the shot changes, she is instantly looking at the back cover of the book in her left hand. (00:04:35)
Continuity mistake: When Commander Turner hands Harm the document regarding Harm's steering wheel, Harm takes it with his right hand. In the next shot, he's suddenly holding the document in his left hand. (00:20:40)
Revealing mistake: While at Ft. Leavenworth, the show indicates that Harm is picking up Father O'Rourke from Kansas City International Airport. Having spent many years there, the buildings, etc that were shown are not KCI. Also, L-1011's did not and do not routinely fly in or out of KCI, as one L-1011 was seen flying overhead.
Answer: Officially, the individual has been ordered to attend, failing to could be interpreted as either, Failure to follow orders, dereliction of duty, going AWOL, or even desertion. It would depend on the underlying reason as to why the person doesn't appear.
