Doctor Who

Robot - S12-E1

Plot hole: The SRS has, at their command, a robot who can punch through armor plate and dig through solid rock. So why do they go to such great lengths to get the disintegrator gun - only to use it to open a safe the robot could easily have ripped open?

The Ark in Space - S12-E2

Deliberate mistake: In episode three, the Doctor and Vira meet a half-changed Noah. He holds a gun on them, then drops it at Vira's feet and the door is suddenly closed. This is because the scene was originally longer and involved Noah begging Vira to kill him before the Doctor shuts the door. It was trimmed down to get it past BBC censors.

Revenge of the Cybermen - S12-E5

Revealing mistake: At the climax of episode four, the Beacon plunges close to Voga and orbits very fast before the Doctor manages to break free. The planetscape that appears on the screen is quite obviously a revolving drum with bits of clay on it.

Revenge of the Cybermen - S12-E5

Plot hole: Sarah is transmatted down to Voga after being injected with alien poison by a Cybermat. According to the Doctor, the transmat will recognise Sarah's human molecules and separate and reject the (non-human) poison molecules. As clothing fabrics tend to made of non-human molecules, how come Sarah and Harry didn't arrive on Voga stark naked?

Robot - S12-E1

Revealing mistake: In the last part, the giant robot steps on a soldier. There are several things wrong with this scene. 1) You can see the matte halo around the robot's foot. 2) The robot does not leave a footprint. And 3), after the soldier gets squashed, his arm is visible waving over the robot's foot.

The Sontaran Experiment - S12-E3

Continuity mistake: In Episode 2, when the Doctor calls Harry from the Control Room and Harry enters the room next to the Cryogenic Chamber, there is an oblong yellow panel next to the door. It extends from about Harry's waist line to about 200mm below the top of the door. But in Episode 3, when Noah calls Vira from the control room part way into his transformation, and everyone runs into the adjacent room, the panel is mounted differently. It now extends from about Harry's mid-torso, to the top of the door frame. (00:03:35 - 00:09:32)

Terror of the Zygons - S13-E1

The Doctor: You can't rule the world in hiding. You've got to come out on the balcony sometimes and wave a tentacle, if you pardon the expression.

Planet of Giants - S2-E1

Trivia: This Doctor Who story was originally scripted and produced as a four-episode story, but, just two weeks before transmission, upon viewing the story, co-creators Sydney Newman and Donald Wilson felt that the final two episodes (Episode 3, 'Crisis'; and Episode 4, 'The Urge to Live') should be combined into a single episode. The new 'condensed' episode incorporated the opening titles of 'Crisis' with the closing credits of 'The Urge to Live'.

Answer: TARDISes are generally available for properly authorised use on Gallifrey; they're not usually assigned to a particular Timelord on a long-term basis. The Doctor stole his when he left his homeworld.
