Visible crew/equipment: When Del is trying to sell the toy dogs, in a number of shots from behind the customers, the reflection of a boom mic is visible. Look to the right of the double doors behind Del. (00:01:15)
Revealing mistake: When Del is trying to sell those hooky toy dogs, there are some shots of the policeman walking across the street. The same clip of that policeman is played twice, only one is longer than the other (note a grey-haired man walk across the screen twice). (00:01:35)
Continuity mistake: When Rodney drove the van to help Del escape from the police. When you see a shot of the van from behind, the van has changed position. (00:03:40)
Continuity mistake: When Del is escaping in the van, there is a view from the side of the van and the door is almost completely shut. But in the next shot, which is a direct view of the back of the van, the door is wide open, allowing space for the toy dogs to fall out of the suitcase and onto the road. (00:03:45)
Visible crew/equipment: When Del walks in to the flat, as he answers Grandad's first question, the shadow of a boom mic can be seen moving behind him on the blue front door. (00:04:15)
Continuity mistake: Just before Del says that Rodney needs Radar, the door behind Rodney is beginning to swing open. Nobody makes any move to close it. The next time we see that door, it is firmly shut. (00:04:50)
Continuity mistake: When Rodney is talking about breaking up the partnership, his hands switch from being on his knees to the table between shots. (00:07:50)
Continuity mistake: When Del is getting chased by the dogs in the alley, some of the dogs run a different way, yet in the next shot, they are all chasing him again.
Revealing mistake: When Del is grabbing the snooker cue off the crazy man, you can see Del stick his thumb up for the other actor to hold during the snooker cue joke. (00:28:35)
Revealing mistake: In the Trotter's flat at the start, in some shots, you can see the mirror has been bent so you can't see the camera's reflection.
Continuity mistake: When the policeman stops the car, when you see him through the front window of the van, he has a torch in his left hand. When he moves towards the van he hasn't.
Audio problem: When Del, Rodney and Grandad are in the cottage, Del is scared to open the door. Rodney says "Well go on then Del, there's nothing to be frightened of now." There is a shot from behind Rodney when he begins to say this. Look closely at Rodney's mouth when he starts to say this; his lips aren't moving.
Revealing mistake: In the opening scene, there is no light switch in the Trotter's flat.
Visible crew/equipment: As Miranda walks in for the first time, as Grandad says "some posh tart", in the mirror on the far lefthand side, the shadow of a boom mic can be seen on the reflection of the T.V., moving around. (00:05:35)
May the Force Be with You - S3-E5
Continuity mistake: Rodney brings Roy Slater back to the flat to see Del. When Roy is leaving, he suggests to Del that they should meet up for a drink sometime, and Del says, "We'll see how it goes." At this point, Del is looking down solemnly, but when Roy turns to say that they're all under arrest, Del is smiling, then his smile suddenly drops.
Visible crew/equipment: When Del asks Mike if the pub is getting decorated and Mike says "in the near future", a boom mic is visible at the top of the screen. (00:26:40)
Continuity mistake: The clock in Denzel's apartment changes times during Del's first visit there, when he fools him into getting Del to paint his apartment.
Revealing mistake: When Denzil's wife storms out of the room and slams the door behind her, you can see that the wall to the right of the door lurches forward under the pressure of the closing door.
Other mistake: Del and Denzil have been friends since their school days so when Del says he was once a painter and decorator for a year Denzil should've known he was lying straight away.
Continuity mistake: When Denzil's wife is in the kitchen slamming pots and pans, above Del and Rodney in the corner, Denzil's speaker, which was upside down, is now the right way up.
