Revealing mistake: In Margaret's tent, as the candle alternates between lit and extinguished, the light lags a second or two between on and off.
Continuity mistake: In the mess tent, when Frank asks Hawkeye why he makes his life so miserable in the OR, notice that in the wideshots there's a silver pitcher, napkin holder, etc. On the table between Trapper and Margaret who are facing each other, but in the shots facing Margaret and Frank, and also Trapper and Hawkeye all of those things vanish and then reappear.
Continuity mistake: When the Swinging Surgeons are performing during the charity no-talent night, Radar's drum kit is set up differently between the wideshots and closeups.
Henry, Please Come Home - S1-E9
Continuity mistake: When Henry's being given the Special Citation of Merit - 4th class, in the wide shot of Hawkeye and Trapper there's dark facial stubble on Hawkeye's face, but in their closeups there's barely any stubble on his face.
Continuity mistake: As Hawkeye writes a letter to his dad, he says "Christmas, here in Korea, as with you in Vermont, is soon upon us." Later, his dad is in Maine, and has lived there all his life.
Audio problem: Right before throwing the football, Trapper says "Yo, Hawk!" but his mouth movements say "Hey, Hawk!" (00:09:05)
Other mistake: When they're playing poker, Hawkeye is sitting at an angle so that Sgt. Baker cannot see the earpiece that Hawkeye is wearing. However, Hawkeye sometimes turns his head enough for us to see his ear and, since the camera angle is over Baker's shoulder, Baker must have been able to see the earpiece too and realise he was being cheated. (00:13:20)
Character mistake: As Hawkeye goes to help Maj. Burns right at the end of the episode, he touches the patient with his bloody, contaminated gloves he used to work on the last patient. Such a blatant error would be anathema to any surgeon from the civilized world of the 20th century, let alone one of Hawkeye's caliber.
Other mistake: While playing golf, something blows up Henry's golf ball. When the camera does a closeup on Henry's ball, you can see that it isn't a golf ball, but a prop designed to blow up.
Other mistake: As Hawkeye sings in the Swamp to mock Frank, watch Trapper. He's miming the words until his cue to join in.

Other mistake: In this episode Max is wearing a red bandanna that he says "My mom gave me this when I shipped out. She said never take it off." However, in no episode before or after this does this good luck charm appear.
Other mistake: Hawkeye loosened the nut and locking ring, but after lifting the assembly, it was obvious that these were steps used only to heighten tension. There was no locking device of any kind between the tail and body of the bomb.
Other mistake: After Klinger gives the long johns to Mulcahy, he "disappears." But if you look closely through the camo net, you can see him in the shadows of the background.
Revealing mistake: As Buzz is stopped at the tent door by Hawkeye and Trapper, the vertical edge of the "sky" is seen over the top of the hospital building, behind the camo net.
Answer: The C-42 was a military variant of the Douglas DC-2. Very few C-42's were built, so it's questionable that Potter would specifically have seen that particular model, but, given his military background, it's not entirely unreasonable that he might use the military designation even when the aircraft in question is actually a civilian DC-2.
