Docu.Drama - S8-E16

Continuity mistake: In the conference room, Frasier says, "I just said that," and the shot shows his arms resting on the table with his hands up, gesturing. The next shot, from the side, shows him leaning back in his chair with his arms right off the table. The shot then goes back to the original position. There was no time for him to move naturally.

Docu.Drama - S8-E16

Continuity mistake: Frasier is holding a paper with his story on it as he is talking to John Glenn in the conference room. The shot changes as Glenn says, "I don't want to go behind someone's back", and Frasier's hands are now clasped in front of him.

Docu.Drama - S8-E16

Continuity mistake: When Frasier is in the boardroom with Roz and her production team, Frasier is writing in a binder, which is on top of a couple of books. In some shots we see a couple of different books in front of him on the table. One of them is called "Mars," which he had put back in his briefcase at the beginning of the scene.

Forgotten But Not Gone - S8-E18

Continuity mistake: While Marty and Frasier are eating Fredericka's cooking, Frasier puts his knife down on his right, then switches his fork to his right hand. After he says "motion carried," the shot shows his fork back in his left hand.

Daphne Returns - S8-E19

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, Roz is in Cafe Nervosa reading a children's book. Frasier comes in and she puts the book behind her, presumably into her purse which is hanging on the chair. But throughout the scene, the book is sitting on the table in front of her.

Daphne Returns - S8-E19

Plot hole: When Frasier is trying to get to the bottom of Niles' problem viewing Daphne in a real way, we see them both against past scenes in the show; Frasier watches and comments on some of them as he talks but because he is actually only discussing these events with Niles, he shouldn't be able to see a visual of anything such as the dress Daphne is wearing during the dance scene.

Semi-Decent Proposal - S8-E21

Continuity mistake: Roz and Frasier are at Cafe Nervosa and she is telling him about her dream of dancing with Bruce Springsteen. At one point, her hand is on top of her coffee mug and then she lays it on the table; the next shot shows her hand on the cup again, with no time to move it naturally.

Semi-Decent Proposal - S8-E21

Continuity mistake: In the show from Series 7, "Big Crane on Campus", the Jean Smart character is introduced as Lorna Lenley - ex-prom queen from his high school with a volatile personality who has a brief relationship with Frasier. In Episode 21, series 8, she comes back as the same character - ex-prom queen, had a fling with Frasier, etc. - but now her name is Lana. She was billed as Lorna in the series 7 show and as Lana in the series 8 show. The names may be similar but are definitely different names.

A Passing Fancy - S8-E22

Other mistake: In the scene where Frasier is in line for tickets for Roz he is talking to Lana on the phone and asks if he can move Kirby's tutoring up "tomorrow" to four right after school because he made plans with Claire later that night. You can see on the sign next to him that the tickets go on sale Saturday morning and Roz had previously said in the beginning of the episode that she wanted to start standing in line Friday so she would be first in line Saturday morning. So it is obvious that Frasier is in line Friday night which would mean tomorrow would be Saturday, which means Kirby being in high school would not have school the next day (Saturday) like Frasier said. Cranes Go Caribbean - S8-E24

Audio problem: In the restaurant Frasier says "There's an ocean of fresh fish not 15 feet away," and you can even see the blue reflection of the water and it's movement as it laps against the shore. Why then, can't you hear waves crashing at all? This is especially strange as in every other scene in this restaurant you can year it, but not in this particular one.

Frasier: And though washing one's hands twenty to thirty times a day would be considered obsessive/compulsive, please bear in mind that your husband is a coroner. Thank you for your call, Jeanine. Roz, whom do we have next?

Caught in the Act - S11-E15

Trivia: When Nanette tells Frasier she's tired of playing her children's show character, she asks him if he knows what it's like to play the same character for twenty years. By this point, Kelsey Grammer had been playing Frasier for twenty years: eleven on 'Frasier' and nine on 'Cheers'.

Show generally

Question: Counting his role on Cheers, Kesley Grammar has played Fraiser for twenty years. Is this the record for the longest portrayal of a character by a TV actor?

Answer: It equals the record of James Arness of "Gunsmoke" for the actor who's played the same part on TV NOT in a soap opera. If you include soaps there are two main contenders - William Roache, who's been playing Ken Barlow in "Coronation Street" in the UK since 1960. Don Hastings has been playing Robert Hughes in US soap "As the World Turns" since 1960 as well.
