The Show Where Sam Shows Up - S2-E16

Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode after Sam mentions stewardesses he claps his hands, and his seat belt (which was caught on something) moves across his chest to the regular position. Cut to a wide shot of the car and Sam's seat belt is back to the position it was in before. (00:21:05)

Daphne's Room - S2-E17

Continuity mistake: Frasier gets caught in Daphne's Room for the second time and crouches down beside her bed with the quilt over his head. He then sneaks into the bathroom - the quilt is left hanging over the edge of the bed. Shortly afterwards he runs out of the bathroom and the quilt is now folded over, completely on top of the bed, even though no one went near it. (00:13:30)

Daphne's Room - S2-E17

Continuity mistake: Roz, Niles and Frazier are in Cafe Nervosa having coffee. Niles has his hand open against his cup while Roz is making a suggestive remark but in the next shot his hands are laced together on the table.

The Club - S2-E18

Factual error: When Frasier goes back to The Club to talk to the president about giving his membership to Niles, the butler comes over to offer him an 1896 port. But the bottle is actually a Baul Madeira, not a port. (00:19:40)

The Club - S2-E18

Visible crew/equipment: During the closing credits, Frasier is sitting on his couch with a platter of meat beside him. Eddie is sitting up and begging for it and while he is doing this we can see the distinct shadow of his trainer's hand and arm against the couch. The hand goes higher and Eddie waves his paws higher and as the hand goes down, Eddie lowers his paws. Eddie keeps his eye on the trainer during this whole sequence. Once Frasier gives Eddie the platter of meat, the shadow disappears.

The Club - S2-E18

Continuity mistake: When Frasier's date calls and cancels, we can see his overcoat covering the back of the couch, but in the next shot, as he says "fat chance", the coat has changed position and we can see several inches of the top of the couch.

Someone to Watch Over Me - S2-E19

Continuity mistake: Frasier and Roz are in his booth and Roz puts her chocolate bar on the counter. While Frasier is on the radio, we sometimes see it at his left elbow and sometimes it is not, even though the angle doesn't change. (00:02:20)

Breaking the Ice - S2-E20

Continuity mistake: Niles has the "hot buns" pads under his right arm and his mittens in his right hand. The next shot shows he already has a mitten on his left hand even though there was not enough time for him to put it on. (00:10:25)

Frasier: Niles, I would shave my head for you.
Niles: A gesture which becomes less significant with each passing year.

Caught in the Act - S11-E15

Trivia: When Nanette tells Frasier she's tired of playing her children's show character, she asks him if he knows what it's like to play the same character for twenty years. By this point, Kelsey Grammer had been playing Frasier for twenty years: eleven on 'Frasier' and nine on 'Cheers'.

Show generally

Question: Counting his role on Cheers, Kesley Grammar has played Fraiser for twenty years. Is this the record for the longest portrayal of a character by a TV actor?

Answer: It equals the record of James Arness of "Gunsmoke" for the actor who's played the same part on TV NOT in a soap opera. If you include soaps there are two main contenders - William Roache, who's been playing Ken Barlow in "Coronation Street" in the UK since 1960. Don Hastings has been playing Robert Hughes in US soap "As the World Turns" since 1960 as well.
