The next shows the dog standing about two feet away and facing the balcony - and the third shot shows her back in the first position. There was no time for her to change positions naturally.
Answer: In the last episode, they explained that Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs is a metaphor for the mixed-up people to whom Frasier dispenses his radio psychiatric advice.
