100 Light Years From Home - S5-E19

Plot hole: When Chris arrives at the beach house, and invites everyone to the MTV concert a few blocks away; he tells them to follow him there implying that he can get them in free with his 'clout' as a movie star. But later during the first song, Joey and Charlie arrive walking up the stairs from the beach apparently just coming from the beach house. They walk right in to the concert area - no problem. But how would they get in without Chris? They didn't have tickets, and Chris wasn't with them to usher them in. It wasn't likely an event open to the entire general public; as it would be too crowded, and not just the younger people MTV audience for TV.

100 Light Years From Home - S5-E19

Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode, Joey and Charlie are talking in the pup tent in the living room in the morning. As Charlie says, "I must have lost my touch." Joey is facing him with her hair hanging in front of her left ear and down around her face. But the next shot of Joey as she says "I don't think so"; suddenly her hair is tucked behind her left ear and away from her face. There was no movement of her hand to touch her hair in between shots.

After Hours - S5-E21

Audio problem: Just after Audrey storms out of Pacey's apartment, after catching him with Alex; Pacey runs after her and they begin arguing in the street. Audrey makes a comment that 'it meant your arms around her, and HER tongue down YOUR throat' referring to The Kiss between Pacey and Alex. But then Pacey counters with 'well actually, it was HER tongue down MY throat' in sort of a comic way, as if he was correcting a backwards situation. But Audrey had just said the same thing! One of the Actors messed up their lines, probably Busy Phillips since Joshua Jackson seemed to have his lines correctly.

Swan Song - S5-E23

Plot hole: When Dawson runs into Grams at the Airport, she asks him to not mention her trip to Jen. But shortly after that in the same conversation, Dawson invites Grams to go say hello to Jen and Jack who are waiting for their flight. If Grams didn't want Jen to know about her trip, she couldn't very well just go meet Jen without explaining what she was up to. (00:20:40)

Swan Song - S5-E23

Plot hole: When everyone first shows up at the Airport, it's daytime and not too late. Joey then works an entire shift at the Capeside Yacht Club, probably through the dinner rush until later that night. When Joey and Pacey are talking on the dock after she is through working, it's late at night. They suddenly decide to rush to the Airport where they assume everyone is still waiting for their flights. Being as this must be several hours later since they all met at the Airport, would everyone's flights really be delayed that long? (00:30:05)

Swan Song - S5-E23

Plot hole: Dawson and Audrey are planning to fly to LA together, and he already mentioned to Audrey that he needs to stay at her family home for awhile. But then at the end of the episode; Pacey talks Audrey into driving to LA with him, and Dawson is left to fly to LA by himself. Wouldn't this make for a very awkward situation if Dawson flew to LA a few days before Audrey arrived by car, and had to stay with her parents completely by himself having never met them before? Doesn't seem like something Dawson would do.

The Kids Are Alright (1) - S6-E1

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, Joey is shown refunding her Paris ticket. The shot is from Season 5 Finale, and her hair is tucked back behind both ears and darker. The next shot of her, the hair is suddenly much lighter, wavier and hanging in front of her ears. Obviously this was shot in Season 6. (00:00:10)

The Kids Are Alright (1) - S6-E1

Continuity mistake: During the beginning intro monologue, Jen is shown seated between her parents on a couch. The two actors portraying her parents are only shown from the back, but they appear to be different people than the original actors who portrayed them. The father, especially has different hair and wears glasses. (00:01:40)

The Kids Are Alright (1) - S6-E1

Factual error: When Joey is talking to the Professor, he mentions that her Birthday is the next day. Dawson also helps Joey celebrate her Birthday early at Midnight that night. Clearly this is some time in early Fall, when the Semester first starts at Worthington; probably August or September. But during the Season 5 Finale, Bessie hands Joey her Passport which has Joey's Birthday listed as May 13, 1983. Also, in previous years of the show, Joey's Birthday was never shown to be in the Fall. She didn't even start learning to drive until later in Season 3. (00:07:40)

The Kids Are Alright (1) - S6-E1

Continuity mistake: At the very end, Dawson and Joey are kissing and they lay back on her bed. The snowglobe Dawson has just given her sits on the table next to her bed, and suddenly the snow inside it is drifting vertically down as if someone has just shaken it. But Joey and Dawson are busy, and neither one has touched it. Only a strong shaking could produce that type of snowfall, not just something bumping the table. (00:43:05)

The Kids Are Alright (1) - S6-E1

Plot hole: When Joey walks into her class and sits down, her cell phone rings and her Professor answers it. As he listens to Audrey on the other end, he says very quickly that he got the message. But when he relays the entire message to Joey after he hangs up, the message is much longer. There is no way he could have possibly gotten that long a message in the very short time he was talking to Audrey and said 'he got it'.

The Song Remains the Same (2) - S6-E2

Factual error: Towards the end of the episode when Joey and Dawson are arguing about their relationship, Joey makes a statement that "Dawson bought the Champagne" referring to their romantic time on the movie set earlier that evening. However, when they were having that drink on the porch of 'Dawson's House' on the movie set; Dawson explained to Joey that the Champagne was from a free gift basket, one of many given to Directors before they start production on a new film. Therefore, Dawson never bought the Champagne, he simply stole it from the gift basket. (00:36:45)

The Importance of Not Being Too Earnest - S6-E3

Continuity mistake: When Joey accesses her email address book to send an email to Dawson, she inadvertently hits the address above his, sending her email to the entire Worthington campus. Dawson's email address in Joey's address book is DawsonLeery@worthington.edu. Dawson does not go to Worthington and would not have a campus email account.

The Importance of Not Being Too Earnest - S6-E3

Other mistake: In the scene where Pacey and his Boss are out to lunch, his boss states that he just bought a car, so they head to a dealership. When they are walking in, his boss goes to a car that's kept in the showroom and dusts it off with a cloth as though that's the one he bought, since it is unlikely that he'd clean off a car that wasn't his. A car that someone just bought would not be kept in a showroom; it would be on the lot and ready to go, especially if the paperwork was already completed, as the boss stated when he said it was already signed and paid for.

Ego Tripping at the Gates of Hell - S6-E7

Continuity mistake: When Jack is talking to Professor Freeman outside the book signing, there is a close-up shot of the Professor with a noticable strand of hair hanging off his right forehead. The next shot of him shows the hair smoothed, and the strand back into position. He didn't touch the hair, and his arms were down by his side the entire time. (00:24:15)

Ego Tripping at the Gates of Hell - S6-E7

Continuity mistake: When Joey is talking to Eddie at the doorway of her dorm room, a short brunette with her hair parted on her right side appears walking around the corner of the hallway behind Eddie. Joey and Eddie continue talking, and a short time later the same brunette again walks by in the hallway behind Eddie. She should have already walked past him in the time allotted before we see her again. (00:42:25)

Everything Put Together Falls Apart - S6-E9

Plot hole: When Pacey first finds Emma in the bathroom cleaning the toilet, she makes a point of mentioning that 'she has band practice in an hour'. But right after they 'strike a deal' and Pacey agrees to her terms for the party, Emma suddenly announces that 'she is off to band practice'. Only a few minutes have passed, so it seems strange Emma would suddenly be going to a band practice that doesn't actually start for another hour.

All the Right Moves - S6-E12

Continuity mistake: Near the end of the episode when Audrey goes into the dorm bathroom to empty the whiskey bottle, she accidently drops it on the bathroom floor. You can see the bottle smash, with the large label lying flat on the floor and the rest of the bottle (also with a smaller red label) sliding a little to the right. But later when Joey comes in and looks over at the broken bottle on the bathroom floor, it suddenly looks different. Most of the bottle is with the second red label part, and the first part with the larger label lying flat isn't anywhere near it.

Jen: Cute.
Jack: Gay.
Jen: Aren't they all?
