An american girl in paris (part deux) - S6-E20

Continuity mistake: In the first shot of the diner as the girls are waiting for Carrie to arrive, the baby photo of Charlotte's daughter is not visible on the table. When Carrie comes in, there is a clear shot of the entire table, and the baby photo is still nowhere in sight. But in the shot where Carrie sits down at the table with the girls, the baby photo is suddenly sitting upright on the table near Charlotte, and fully visible. There was no time for this to happen, as they are just sitting down. Carrie is still hugging her friends (Charlotte) at the table. (00:41:40)

Suggested correction: The scene doesn't take place in real time. When they hug each other at the door the food has not been served. After the hugging it cuts to all four seated and the breakfast already on the plates, with the picture in sight. Therefore, they had plenty of time to see the menu, order, wait for their food and, of course, place the picture on the table.

Lights, camera, relationship - S6-E5

Continuity mistake: When Charlotte and Anthony are talking on the park bench, Charlotte is looking at Anthony to her right as she says "No next, it doesn't work like that". She then turns her head back to face forward, when she is through speaking. But the very next shot, Charlotte has her head turned towards the right, and is facing Anthony again. (00:10:20)

To market, to market - S6-E1

Continuity mistake: When Steve is wiping Miranda's face with the baby wipes, there are still a few smudges on her forehead. But after she chases him across the room and back again, suddenly the smudges are gone, and her forehead and face are entirely clear of anything. She did not have a chance to wipe her skin at all. Out of the frying pan - S6-E16

Continuity mistake: The amount of hair Samantha shaves off before Smith comes in increases without her shaving any more. She takes off two chunks, he comes in, and when he starts shaving his head, she's suddenly buzzed to a number 2 cut on a whole part of her head.

An american girl in paris (part une) - S6-E19

Continuity mistake: In one of the deleted scenes for this episode, Carrie has to take her laptop out of her purse in order to make room for the garment. She throws the laptop on the bed, with the 'Apple' symbol facing down. But just after that, the laptop is shown lying on the bed with the 'Apple' symbol facing up. To my knowledge, there is no 'Apple' logo on the bottom of the laptop.

Suggested correction: This is trivia. Deleted scenes lack context and therefore scenes to allow for continuity.

Out of the frying pan - S6-E16

Continuity mistake: Just before Carrie sees the mouse, she sets her two wine glasses down on the counter in the middle. The mouse appears and the shot cuts to her screaming, then to Alecsander slamming the frying pan down on the mouse, and the two glasses have moved to one side, out of the way of the pan.

An american girl in paris (part une) - S6-E19

Continuity mistake: When Carrie enters the Dior store from the rain, she slips and falls. When she first starts falling, her arms are outstretched widely above her head. But the very next shot suddenly shows her hitting the floor, with her arms down in front of her to break the fall. There was no time for her to have moved her arms that quickly. (00:20:15)

Twenty-something girls vs. thirty-something women - S2-E17

Question: I have a somewhat odd question for everyone that watches Sex and the city. I got into the show about 2 or 3 years after it started running but I remember watching the episode "Twenty-Something Girls vs. Thirty-Something Women" which was the episode about Carrie and the girls going to the Hamptons and renting a house. Charlotte dates a younger guy that gives her crabs. There is commentary about comparing 20 year girls to 30 year old women and when I watched this episode originally I swear there was a different ending then what is what is shown now. I want to know if anyone else has seen this or am I absolutely insane. In the episode there is a girl that pukes on the beach - her friend holds her hair back and Carrie makes a commentary about "counting on 20 year old girls to hold your hair back." Later when Carrie sees Big with Natasha she runs to the beach and Miranda runs after her. Carrie throws up because she is upset and Miranda holds her hair back, but the version I saw changes the commentary/narration and says that you can "always count on a 30 something year old friend to hold your hair back." I haven't seen that version again. Has anyone else seen it or did I just dream this, because I swear I remember watching this when it first came out?

Answer: I'm a long-time fan of the show, having re-watched it many times, and I definitely remember slightly different dialogue at the end of that episode than what's on my DVD. I'm afraid I have no idea why this change might have been made or any other info, but you're not insane.
