The One With All The Kissing - S5-E2
Factual error: When Monica is in the bath with Chandler, Joey comes in twice, forcing Monica to hide under the bubbles: first he asks Chandler if he wants some chicken, then again when Chandler calls him back and Chandler's giving Monica's order, with Monica still hidden under the bubbles. Somehow, Monica supposedly hears Chandler requesting a soda and nudges or pulls him or something to indicate he was going to get the wrong kind. But no way she could hear him under the water (stick your head in a tub and have your friend recite the alphabet, and see what I mean). (00:01:00)
The One With The Triplets - S5-E3
Factual error: Joey always grabs his back when he gets his pain from his kidney stones. This is a classic referral pattern for pain when the stones are in the kidney. However, the doctor says that the kidney stones were too close to the bladder. Stones in the ureters classically refers the pain to the groin area. (00:02:40)
The One Where Everybody Finds Out - S5-E14
Factual error: Phoebe holds up a bag of quarters that is almost the size of her head. This would be physically impossible for anyone except perhaps the world's strongest weight-lifters. Quarters are exceptionally heavy for their size. Two rolls weigh exactly a pound. It would take at least 300-400 rolls worth of quarters to fill up the bag Phoebe is holding, which means she is lifting 150-200+ pounds, primarily with one arm. (00:08:40)
The One With Rachel's Inadvertent Kiss - S5-E17
Factual error: When Joey tries to find the Hot Girl, he goes up to Ross' apartment and there is a dead end. However, when he next goes there, he manages to run away in that direction. (00:03:20)
The One With The Ball - S5-E21
Factual error: There is no way that a cop and a masseuse could have afforded an apartment in Brooklyn Heights, even in the '90s. (Brooklyn Heights was unaffordable in the '80s.) "Rent control" doesn't explain it either, as a vacant apartment - which is what they are looking for - would be raised to "market rate" if a rent-stabilized tenant moved out. This can't be written off as a character mistake: Gary is not naive or uninformed, and his accent makes clear that he is a New Yorker.
The One With Joey's Big Break - S5-E22
Factual error: Joey and Chandler are supposedly crossing the George Washington Bridge but the exterior background viewed from inside the car is very obviously a repeat reel of another bridge, and their conversation goes on for far too long for the actual crossing. And the cutaway shot after Chandler is kicked out of the car shows an aerial view of the Brooklyn Bridge.
The One With Joey's Big Break - S5-E22
Factual error: In the scene where Joey is supposedly in the Nevada desert, Saquaro cacti are seen in the background indicating that the scene was shot in Arizona or Mexico.
The One In Vegas, Part 2 - S5-E24
Factual error: When Monica rolls an 8 to buy everyone a steak dinner, the one die is positioned with a 5 and 4 facing the camera (the 5 on the left, and 4 on the right). With the die that way round a 1 is always on top. There is no other way to get the 5 and 4 combo. This means that Monica had a 7 on the other die, That is impossible. And so she did not roll an 8. Answer: The statements that she's contradicting (that it is common, it happens to every guy, and it's not a big deal), are the things that a woman commonly says to a man who is suffering from erectile difficulty, typically to assuage his bruised ego. However, most men do not believe that these statements are true, as evidenced by Chandler's outburst. He's so caught up in the proof that women are lying about it that he gives himself away.
