Continuity mistake: When Phoebe says she is going to "pack her ass off" she walks toward the coffee house door, and they cut to a quick shot of Joey then back to the wide shot with the door, and Phoebe has disappeared. Continuity mistake: Ross is in his apartment, and he is saying he will miss it. Throughout the scene, the phone appears and disappears from beside the charger cradle. (00:10:10)
The One With The Inappropriate Sister - S5-E10
Continuity mistake: Phoebe is complaining about people disrespecting her charity bucket, and hands the bucket to Monica as she does so. In the first two shots Monica holds the bucket by its edge, but when the camera goes back to her for a third time, she is holding the bucket by its handle. (00:11:35)
The One With Joey's Bag - S5-E13
Continuity mistake: There is a shot of Phoebe in Central Perk about to talk to Frank (from outside, looking in). From this shot there are several people outside Central Perk. The camera does an instant cut to behind Phoebe, (inside, looking outside) and the people have vanished. (00:15:00)
The One With All The Thanksgivings - S5-E8
Continuity mistake: When Monica puts the turkey on her head, she puts a hat on it. In the next shot the hat is not at an angle and must be held in place. (00:19:40)
The One With The Ball - S5-E21
Continuity mistake: Joey goes into the bathroom and the toilet is behind the door. In a previous episode, when Joey doesn't know about Chandler and Monica, he comes out of his room and thinks it is morning. He goes into the bathroom and Chandler pushes the door open to reveal Joey asleep on the toilet with his toothbrush in his mouth, only the toilet is now on the other side of the room, not behind the door. The One With All The Resolutions - S5-E11
Continuity mistake: When Joey and Rachel are trying to work out if the other knows about Monica and Chandler, they sit at the table in silence. In a side shot of Joey they look at each other sneakily, and Joey has his arms by his sides. It then cuts to a head-on shot of Joey, and he's got his right arm over the back of the chair. (00:19:00)
Continuity mistake: In this episode, they say the reason Kip was phased out was because he dated Monica and they broke up badly. However, in the first season (in the "Dozen Lasagnes" episode) Chandler says Kip left because he got married. (00:13:50)
Continuity mistake: When Rachel is talking to Phoebe about cremating the coat there is a mirror behind her with a laptop reflected in it. The reflection shows it switched on, but in the wider shots it is switched off. (00:09:15)

Continuity mistake: When Joey arrives in the desert there is a lot of stuff not in vans. As the director gets into his car, loads of equipment is still in the desert, but a few shots later the vans are full and leaving. (00:18:50)
The One With All The Kissing - S5-E2
Continuity mistake: There is a scene in Central Perk where Rachel confronts Chandler about all the kissing he's been doing. She raises her hands up in front of her and tells Chandler to hold on to stop him from getting up from the couch. As he goes to sit back down on the couch she lowers her hands to her lap. The shot cuts to an angle behind Rachel's chair and she is lowering her hands again. (00:14:35)
The One Where Rachel Smokes - S5-E18
Continuity mistake: Joey's snowcone changes during the scene with Ross at the party. It goes from rounded to more flat to rounded, and from plain ice to being able to see the flavoring to ice again. (00:20:00)
The One Where Everybody Finds Out - S5-E14
Continuity mistake: The amount of buttons undone on Pheobe's top by Joey changes after she says, "You didn't rip any buttons." The camera cuts to Joey then back, and it has changed. (00:18:00)

Continuity mistake: In the Central Perk scene where Rachel is telling Ross she loves him, Ross is sitting at the small round table. The blue cup and the white cup with the lid move positions throughout the scene. (00:16:25)
The One In Vegas, Part 2 - S5-E24
Continuity mistake: When Monica and Chandler find the dice under the craps table, it is at an angle so both the four and five appear up. When the camera changes to the last shot (the zoom in of them kissing) the dice is sitting flat on the floor. (00:33:35)
The One With Ross's Sandwich - S5-E9
Continuity mistake: In the second scene with Phoebe and Rachel in the night class, when the camera looks over Rachel's shoulder, she has "Jane Eyre" in her hand face up, but when the angle switches to front view, she has nearly placed the book on the desk. (00:13:20)
Continuity mistake: Rachel and Phoebe are in the Central Perk, talking about leaving the group, and a jacket and a handbag are hanging on the arm of the chair behind Rachel, slightly to her left. Between shots it changes from just the jacket, then just the handbag and so on. This continues throughout the scene when Ross comes in and Phoebe leaves. As she gets up you see both again, however Rachel does not move enough to just show one and hide the other. (00:16:00)

Continuity mistake: When Pheobe is telling the Lurker to go away her hand is in the cup of coins, an instant cut later and it's out with no time to do so. (00:29:00)
The One With All The Kissing - S5-E2
Continuity mistake: In the scene after Monica pretends to drop socks in the hallway in order to prevent Rachel from telling Ross she still loves him, Rachel goes back into the apartment and locks Monica out. Monica then starts to pound on the door with her bare left hand. The scene changes to the apartment and Ross opens the door to let Monica in. All of a sudden Monica is pounding the door with her right hand wrapped in a sock. (This continuity problem is for the widescreen version, where we see a closeup of Monica not seen on the DVD, in the hallway with a bare hand right before Ross opens the door. However, on the DVD there are extra shots of Ross and Rachel after seeing Monica's bare hand pounding and then seeing her with the sock on her hand, which gives her ample time to put it on). The One Where Ross Moves In - S5-E7
Continuity mistake: At the very start of the episode, when Joey's showing Chandler National Geographic, Chandler has his left hand up by his face in one shot, then when the angle changes they're both clasped in his lap. (00:00:05)
Answer: Usually by the seventh night of Hanukkah you don't know what to get the other person, and you will probably resort to getting the other person something insignificant. Chandler is basically saying that the pen is a stupid gift.
