Revealing mistake: Whenever Monica's apartment is shot from the point of view of the balcony looking in, fake walls have to be put up across the room to cover the open space (since there is no wall there usually). When the friends are looking out the window at Ugly Naked Guy and his girlfriend in this episode, you can see that the rear wall does not extend nearly far enough - there is a large black space behind Monica. Visible crew/equipment: While Phoebe and Rachel are with Monica in the guestroom, Phoebe decides that Rachel should be the one to get the nice room, and right before Monica tells Rachel that she's the first guest at "Hotel Monica" we can see the end of the bedroom set wall, with the kitchen and living room visible.
Trivia: Matthew Perry's wit is so legendary that the scriptwriters have often incorporated his gags into the show.
