Just Let Go - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: When Bree asks Michelle how Caroline is doing, her left arm goes from folded across her belly to down by her side between cuts.
Just Let Go - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: When the woman grabs the ball from near Jake's foot at the beginning of the episode, in the first shot, you can see she starts to transfer the ball from her left hand to her right, but in the next shot her hands are suddenly far apart.
Just Let Go - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: When Lexy talks to her parents near the beginning and her mom says, "Suddenly you care about your little sister? That's funny," her mom goes from facing her father to facing her between cuts.
Just Let Go - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: When Devon is talking to his mum at the beginning of the episode, the way his headphones are sitting in front of him slightly changes. Sometimes the cord is sort-of sticking up, sometimes not.
Just Let Go - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: When Jake grabs Lexy and says anyone who has talked about Chucky has been "put away or worse," Lexy goes from having her hair over only one shoulder to both between cuts.
Just Let Go - S1-E4
Audio problem: When Jake is talking to Lexy at the beginning of the episode, when he says "But, you didn't see him die?" his lips don't quite match what he's saying, revealing the line was dubbed in post.
Just Let Go - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: When Jake sees Oliver's parents crying at the beginning of the episode, the same few extras walk by them twice in two different shots. Watch for the Asian-American nurse – she's the easiest to spot.
Just Let Go - S1-E4
Revealing mistake: When we see the outside of the hospital in the beginning, as the camera cranes down to see the ambulance, you can see a subtle sort of "blur/feathering" around some of the tree branches and leaves above. The background appears to be added in post, and the foreground tree just wasn't quite blended in properly.
Continuity mistake: When the hostage smacks Nica and she's on the floor, the position she's in changes between cuts as she's sort-of rolling around and Chucky takes back over her body.
Other mistake: When Nica reverts back to her normal self and collapses, when she says "Where am I?", her legs noticeably move a few inches. She's paralyzed, so this shouldn't happen. It happens at least one other time during the scene, albeit more subtly. (When Chucky is in control, he's able to move her legs almost like a flesh-puppet, but when she's in control, she can't.)
Continuity mistake: As Tiffany storms off after getting into an argument with Nica/Chucky, Nica/Chucky teleports about ten feet between cuts.
Continuity mistake: When Tiffany talks about wanting Swedish meatballs, her left hand goes from down by her side to up on her hip between cuts.
Continuity mistake: When Tiffany asks the hostage if he's "enjoying the show", Nica/Chucky goes from standing on her knees to sitting between cuts.
Continuity mistake: In the flashback, as human Chucky watches the girls having sex on the bed, his arm holding the cigarette goes from all the way out to bent up at a 90-degree angle between cuts.
Continuity mistake: When Michelle and Nathan are fighting, right before Nathan grabs the wine bottle and walks off, he puts his hands up by his forehead. In the next shot, they're suddenly down by his shoulders.
Continuity mistake: When Nathan comes back in after throwing out Chucky, Michelle makes a motion as though she put down the wine bottle, then starts to turn back to Nathan. In the next shot, she puts down the bottle and starts to turn back to Nathan a second time.
Continuity mistake: After Lexy sees Nathan with the doll, Michelle's wine glass is empty. She picks up the bottle and pours a small splash into her glass. Then, the next time we see the glass, it has at least a half-cup of wine in it - far more than the little splash we just saw her pour.
Continuity mistake: When Lexy is about to start the dishwasher, Michelle's left hand goes from up by her chest to down by her side between cuts.
Continuity mistake: During the dinner scene, right after Jake's phone goes off, as Logan says "In a week or two we're gonna have you back out there runnin'!", his fork flips 180 degrees in his hand.
Continuity mistake: When Lexy is beating up the Tommy doll, when she throws it on the floor and starts slamming it, Nathan's hands appear on his knees between cuts when it cuts to the high-angle shot. In-between those same two shots, Lexy and Chucky also rotate about 45 degrees towards Nathan.
Answer: They were blamed for the death of Jake's foster brother, which was deemed a terrible accident, and they were sent to the reform school as a punishment. Presumably, when they had to leave the reform school given what happened, they were instead given community service as punishment.
