Continuity mistake: When Reed is showing everyone the new element, he is wearing a white lab coat. When Sue tells him to take a night off to go to the movies, he is suddenly wearing a light-blue suit jacket, and Sue holds up a white lab coat in front of him like the one he was just wearing. Continuity mistake: When Thing is quivering on the ground, Psycho-Man is just a step behind him. A couple of shots later, Psycho-Man has moved back several feet. (00:02:58)
Plot hole: After Psycho-Man, disguised as Reed, lures Sue away from the outdoor tables of the cafe where she was dining with Alicia, Johnny and the real Reed walk up to Alicia a mere three seconds later and ask where Sue is. Reed and Johnny should have easily seen Psycho-Man impersonating Reed and walking away with Sue, because they approached Alicia from the street, it's not like they turned the corner out of some alley. (00:07:01)
Continuity mistake: When Reed asks Johnny if he found Sue, he is wearing a watch on his left wrist. When he sits down and puts his hands on his cheeks, the watch is missing. (00:10:02)

To Battle the Living Planet - S2-E6
Other mistake: This series is in the same continuity as the other Marvel animated series that aired around the same time - X-Men, Spider-Man, Iron Man, and The Incredible Hulk - by virtue of each aforementioned show crossing over with at least one of the others. However, early in this episode, the Fantastic Four receive help from the Avengers, and two of their members are Iron Man and She-Hulk. Iron Man is not a member of the Avengers in this universe, he is a member of Force Works. She-Hulk is not a member of the Avengers either. She is an attorney and is also frequently off doing missions with Bruce Banner/Hulk. (00:01:52)

To Battle the Living Planet - S2-E6
Continuity mistake: This series is in the same continuity as the other Marvel animated series that aired around the same time - X-Men, Spider-Man, Iron Man, and The Incredible Hulk - by virtue of each aforementioned show crossing over with at least one of the others. This episode, which originally aired on November 4, 1995, features a cameo appearance by She-Hulk. However, Jennifer Walter's didn't become She-Hulk until the season 1 episode of The Incredible Hulk entitled "Doomed," which originally aired on November 3, 1996. We know "Doomed" takes place after this episode, because the later episode of this series, entitled Nightmare in Green, features a plot where Dr. Doom meets Hulk for the first time after discovering that he is also Bruce Banner, and attempts to use him to destroy the Fantastic Four, and "Doomed" showcases Dr. Doom once again trying to use the Hulk to suit his own ends.

Answer: Gleaned from the Internet: Much of the negative reaction was due to the poor, simplistic, and outdated quality of the animation where the characters moved stiffly and clumsily through scenes. There were also some obvious animation compositing gaffs. The animation colors were also criticized as being overly bright and cheery and out of character to the established story's darker tone. The broad humor of the first season was replaced by a more mature narrative between the characters.
