Visible crew/equipment: When Frank climbs into the jeep belonging to Major General Cornell Dickering, the MPs show up at the same time that BJ and Hawkeye walk up to join the fun, and during this scene there's a T-mark (albeit a dusty one) on the ground at the driver's side of the jeep.

Continuity mistake: After speeding past the checkpoint Hawkeye's stopped by the MPs, and when the lieutenant takes hold of one of Hawkeye's dog tags he's holding the one on the extender chain, but next shot he's holding the other dog tag, with the extender chain and second dog tag hanging down.

Revealing mistake: At the end, in the shot of Klinger singing while he's sewing a dress on his White Rotary sewing machine, as he's guiding the fabric forward it isn't actually under the machine's presser foot, which it needs to be in order to be stitched by the needle.

Revealing mistake: While Hawkeye's in the mess tent leading the protest shouting "we want something else" he climbs the tent pole, and in two of the wideshots the camera has panned a bit too far to the right, and we can see the edge of the tent facade set at the top right corner of the screen.

Continuity mistake: While Hawkeye leads the protest in the mess tent shouting "we want something else," there are two closeup shots of the table where Klinger and Radar are seated, and Klinger's white evening purse is missing, but in the previous and following wideshots the purse is hanging on his arm.

Continuity mistake: When Hawkeye's in the mess tent holding the food tray the succotash is on the left and potatoes on the right with a space in the middle, so when Igor serves him creamed corn offscreen the corn should be between the potatoes and succotash, but when Hawkeye's having the fit and walks away from Igor, the potatoes (a higher mound) are now in the center space between corn and succotash.

Other mistake: When Hawkeye and Trapper are arguing with Henry about not sending the little boy to the orphanage, Henry says, "Look, you think I wanna send this little fella away? I got two kids of my own. I'm a former child myself," but at the end of season 1 Henry's wife delivered a boy, whom Henry was aching to be with, so Henry really has three kids.

Continuity mistake: Hawkeye mails a letter to his father which is delayed in its delivery, and when Hawkeye finally receives a reply from his father it's dated May 24, 1951, but in the previous episode "Radar's Report" the weekly report that Radar typed up was dated October 17 through October 22, 1951.

Trivia: After Erika tells Hawkeye that the ring is her grandmother's and she's not married, when Hawkeye joins Erika on her cot the lights flicker on and off a few times. This flickering was real and totally unscripted, and was due to a power failure on the set, but because Alan Alda and Joan Van Ark didn't miss a beat and continued with their lines the scene wasn't reshot, and they just added the PA voiceover announcing that it's the generator again.
