Visible crew/equipment: In the scene after Patrick Bateman's second encounter with the detective in his office, we see Bateman having sex at Courtney's apartment. After he rolls off her, Bateman approaches the large, stand-up mirror in the bedroom. In the upper right hand corner of the mirror, a boom microphone can clearly be seen moving around to pick up Christian Bale's lines. The next time we get the same long shot, the microphone is gone. Continuity mistake: The bottle of ketchup in the dinner table scene, early in the movie, alternates from right side up to upside down, from shot to shot. (00:08:45)

Continuity mistake: At the Catalina Wine Mixer, Brennan Huff's voice breaks the large glass/ice helicopter sculpture. A few moments later, his step father is clapping and the helicopter sculpture is visible behind him. (01:22:45)

Continuity mistake: When John first meets Raymond, Raymond sticks his business card in the black slot and it is big enough that it hangs over the slot. When the camera pans away from the card to go back to their conversation, it disappears. At the end of the scene it appears again, because they end on a close-up of the card. (00:15:45)

Continuity mistake: When Abby is consoling Noelle, after she finds out that Roy is a loser, notice the magazine she throws after saying 'You are no longer allowed to read this destructive literature' ends up on Abby's lap at the end of the scene. She threw it on the floor earlier. (00:46:55)

Continuity mistake: When Zack is talking to Deacon at the hockey game, there's a water bottle between them. It disappears during the rest of the scene, even if the two characters are not seen drinking. (00:35:00)

Continuity mistake: When Miri bangs on Zack's door the second time to wake him up at the start of the film, he throws a hockey stick into the hall and it lands on a rug. The shot cuts to him getting up and then back to the hallway, where the hockey stick is no longer on the rug (and Miri was in the bathroom). (00:01:00)
