Other mistake: The waitress said she got to Rosie's Cafe early and had to kill Rosie and the cook. She shot them and threw them down the basement steps, plus mopped up the blood before the loner arrived. The Virtuoso did not get there as early as he wanted to, but it was still about before 5:00 PM. He had briefly stopped along the road to ask the girl if she wanted a ride, and the waitress passed him at this point. The small amount of time the waitress was ahead wouldn't be enough time to kill and clean up. (01:35:30)

The Virtuoso (2021)
Continuity mistake: An exterior view of the window in the building across the street that the Virtuoso plans on shooting from shows it is comprised of three square panes stacked vertically. When the Virtuoso is inside behind the window, it is one large vertical pane. (00:10:27)

The Virtuoso (2021)
Character mistake: Still, not knowing who "White Rivers" is, the Virtuoso returns to Rosie's Cafe and continues to accept the Waitress' "passes." The Waitress was flirting (a mild term) with the Virtuoso from the time he first entered Rosie's. In addition to not abiding by his "do not get distracted" rule, he fails to even consider the possibility the Waitress was "White Rivers." Allegedly filling in for Rosie at the time given for the hit, plus her persistence in pursuing him, should have been a big red flag. (00:51:54)

The Virtuoso (2021)
Continuity mistake: When the Virtuoso goes into the kitchen at Rosie's Cafe, he sees three knives - two almost side-by-side with a third one between but below the two. When the Virtuoso goes to pick up a knife, there are now three knives side-by-side with a fourth one below the middle knife. (00:53:16)

The Virtuoso (2021)
Stupidity: After the Sheriff was shot in the neck but was able to run into the woods, he hid behind a wide tree trunk. He shot at the Virtuoso but missed. Instead of staying behind the wide tree trunk and shooting again as the Virtuoso advanced toward him, he flees from tree to tree where the trunks are not as wide, giving him less protection and more of a disadvantage. Eventually, he is killed by the Virtuoso. (01:21:48 - 01:22:26)

The Virtuoso (2021)
Revealing mistake: Much of the cemetery scene with the Mentor was "green screened." The backgrounds were inconsistent (e.g, trees and tree trunks) and sometimes the Virtuoso's and Mentor's head were practically together when facing each other. The sizes of their heads also varied at times. The Mentor also was at an angle to the Virtuoso during his long speech, at least giving the impression that he was using cue cards to remember his lines. A couple times, the Mentor looked like he lost his place. (00:15:24)

The Virtuoso (2021)
Stupidity: There were three vehicles parked in front of Rosie's Cafe when the Virtuoso arrived before 5:00 PM. As he walked past the vehicles, he surreptitiously took photos of the license plates to help him identify the likely target. The Waitress' Jeep was parked apart from these vehicles, on the side of the restaurant. The Virtuoso went by the restaurant's front windows where the target possibly could see him and took a photo of the Jeep's plate. (The fact that no-one noticed is irrelevant).

The Virtuoso (2021)
Stupidity: A majority of what the Waitress did was highly questionable, but her manipulation of and reliance on the Virtuoso to kill the (impostor) Sheriff (in particular) was foolish and could have very well led to her not being able to complete her mission. The Waitress made the Virtuoso become suspicious of the Sheriff by saying there was something "off" about him and his badge didn't look real. Believing he positively identified and killed "White Rivers", the Virtuoso could have easily left the area.

The Virtuoso (2021)
Stupidity: Throughout the movie, the Virtuoso did many things that were contrary to being a shadow and not leaving any evidence of his presence. For example, he often wore gloves, but not when picking up a knife in Rosie's kitchen. Each time he went into the motel office, he interacted with the clerk and called attention to himself by asking for coffee but leaving before the clerk returned. He fell for the Waitress' advances, met her after the restaurant closed, and let her come into his motel room.

The Virtuoso (2021)
Other mistake: When the (impostor) Sheriff came into Rosie's Cafe, the Waitress said, "Deputy Myers" and asked him how he was doing. The Sheriff asked about (Aunt) Rosie, who the Waitress said went home sick. The Waitress offered the Sheriff some pastries and was talking to him for a while. (The conversation was not disclosed at that time.) The Waitress didn't give any indication that she did not know the Sheriff, but the Virtuoso later asked her how she couldn't know the Sheriff in such a small area. (00:34:01)

The Virtuoso (2021)
Stupidity: When formulating his plan to kill the CEO, the Virtuoso posted "lost dog" signs on poles within the area he was going to shoot. When finished, he looked up and across the street to the window from which he was going to shoot. Instead of being "a shadow", the Virtuoso put himself at the crime scene the day before, looking quite suspicious. If/when police looked for surveillance camera footage, the Virtuoso's behavior would be quite obvious. (00:10:23)

The Virtuoso (2021)
Factual error: The Deputy's identification had "State of Pennsylvania" written on it. Pennsylvania is, of course, a state, but most (if not all) official/ legal documents are marked "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania." (01:17:05)

The Virtuoso (2021)
Other mistake: The Virtuoso kept a large bag (50#?) of dog food outside near the front door of his cabin. The Waitress put another bag beside the first one. Especially in the woods, food should not be stored outside - wild animals would quickly smell and devour it (if mice/rats did not get to it first).

The Virtuoso (2021)
Factual error: The Sheriff's car had "POLICE" written across the rear end, but with the exception of Allegheny County, deputies in Pennsylvania do not have police powers. They are County employees who carry out court orders (e.g, serving warrants and subpoenas) and work in court houses keeping order. They also transport prisoners and issue gun permits. It would be atypical for a Deputy sheriff to do routine patrol like Deputy Myers was doing. The sheriff's car should have had "municipal" or government plates. (01:16:18)

The Virtuoso (2021)
Continuity mistake: The Mentor slid a folded piece of paper across the desk to the Waitress; the crease was to her left. When the Waitress picked up the paper, the crease was facing her and the note opened toward the Mentor. (01:38:31)

The Virtuoso (2021)
Plot hole: After the Sheriff crashed into a tree, the Virtuoso passed him up but returned. The Virtuoso asked the Sheriff if he knew "White Rivers" and the Sheriff responded, "Yeah, I know it." The Virtuoso then shot at the Sheriff who was a few feet away and hit him in the neck. The Sheriff was able to run away. Instead of the Virtuoso quickly shooting again, he watched the Sheriff run into the woods and chased him. Despite being "experts", each made numerous shots that missed the other. The Virtuoso (2021)
Stupidity: The Virtuoso was given very limited information - that he should go to Rosie's at 5:00 PM. While there, he thought "Something's not right" and "Without the Deputy, you [the Virtuoso] could complete the assignment. The outcome would look like a robbery gone wrong." Still unsure, he decides to "give it more time", watches the vehicles leaving Rosie's, rightfully assumes the Loner will go to the motel and follows him. BUT the Sheriff left first, meaning he could have gone back to finish the hit. (00:35:25)

The Virtuoso (2021)
Other mistake: After entering Rosie's Cafe, the Virtuoso, narrating, says, "You pick a seat that lets you keep an eye on both men but leaves your back vulnerable." He then sits at a table in the far corner with only a lamp on a small stand/desk behind him. The Virtuoso's back would be INvulnerable, and he should not want to sit anywhere that makes him "vulnerable." (00:31:50)

The Virtuoso (2021)
Continuity mistake: A pickup truck, brown/tan car, and a gray car (in that order) are parked facing the front of Rosie's Cafe when the Virtuoso arrives. The Virtuoso parks perpendicular to the vehicles (but different angles are shown) and it looks like his car would be blocking the others - the front driver's side bumper is close to the brown car's rear bumper. The pickup truck is NOT there. When the Virtuoso gets out of his car, it is further back (away from the brown car's bumper) and the truck IS there. (00:29:56)
