Continuity mistake: The Janitor takes one can of "Punch" out of a box in his Camaro's trunk. After the Camaro is towed, the Janitor removes a sack from the Camaro's passenger front seat, which now contains the cans of Punch. He was not shown moving the cans and there's no explanation of where the sack came from. Also, when the Janitor is carrying the sack into Willy's, it doesn't look like it contains more than a couple or few cans yet it supposedly contains many more. (00:03:55 - 00:09:40)

Continuity mistake: Running away from the guard after the burglary, Joey and Matt went down a fairly steep hill in the woods. After passing the hole, they walked up a small embankment to go toward home. The next morning, Joey is riding his bike down a steep hill (the one that was before the hole?) - so steep he has to get off his bike and push it. Halfway down, the camera shifts and Joey is suddenly on TOP of a small embankment, which appears to be the one he and Matt walked up the day before on their way home.

Continuity mistake: Views of Michelle's car wreck were inconsistent. When the car veered to the right and was headed toward the tree, the driver's view showed most of the car was to the left of the tree trunk. On impact, it looked like the right side headlight hit the middle of the tree trunk. Michelle got out and a rear view showed the tree trunk roughly lined up with the steering wheel (i.e, more than half of the car was to the right of the trunk). After impact, both headlights were shining in front of the tree.

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, the blue car is parked on the far right of the screen or at least one car length from the doctor's front door. Dr. Huggins says goodbye to the couple with the baby, who walk toward their car. After the burglars-to-be (turned robbers) are shown watching from a distance, the camera returns to the doctor's front door. The blue car is now near the center of the screen and it drives away toward the right of the screen - going past the place it had been parked.

Continuity mistake: A-X-L frequently varied in size. For example, sometimes its head looked massive compared to Miles, being about the size of Miles from his head to waist. Other times, A-X-L's head looked about twice the size of Miles' or Sara's head. A-X-L's body was sometimes about the same size of Miles' motorcycle but much larger other times. A-X-L looked much smaller when it was dragging Sam compared to when it was standing over Sam.

Continuity mistake: Packets of Synchronic were placed on top of the garbage already in the can and were inconsistent from one shot to another. Also, the amount of crumbled papers under the Synchronic decreased. (It is also interesting that no new garbage was placed in the can on top of the Synchronic packets even though over one day had passed).

Continuity mistake: Dominick's tattoo on the back of his head changes from the time he was in the prison courtyard to when he was boarding the bus. The older tattoos underneath were not entirely covered up or removed, blurring the swastika that he had thereafter. The transitions that occurred didn't seem possible - a swastika on top of a circle would not turn into a clear swastika. In ONE shot of the back of his head, the entire tattoo was located higher than his ears while others went lower on his head.

Continuity mistake: A vast majority of the movie occurs over the course of a single day, so it would be expected that Becky's hair stayed about the same. However, there were frequent fluctuations in Becky's hair's length, how her bangs were arranged, and color (whether the blue streaks could be seen at all or how much at a given time, and if she had dark roots on the top of her head).

Continuity mistake: The amount of Mara's cocktail [called "All of My Friends and Boyfriend Are Dead"] in the martini glass changes. She initially adds grenadine to almost the rim, but when she raises the glass, it is not as full. There also appears to be somewhat more in the glass when she sets it on the table for her dad. Continuity mistake: At the prom, Mara "spikes" the punch with a clear alcohol (tequila or vodka?) and the punch looks clear or a little cloudy/white. The punch is a pinkish color when Mara takes the bowl away and sits down. (01:19:45)

Continuity mistake: The tent Marcus had the first night he spent in the woods was a small, basic triangle. The support poles were under the fabric (except for a few inches near the ground) and there was no zippered mesh door. A little later, his tent had largely exposed poles, a zippered mesh door, was a lighter shade or green (or blue), and had "Eureka!" written near the bottom of the door. (00:59:15 - 01:02:41)

Continuity mistake: At the restaurant, different camera views show the levels of ketchup in the bottle are not properly coordinated after Del or Charley squeeze some out. The ketchup from inside the bottle has settled when the camera faces Charley but not when facing Del. Continuity mistake: During Charley's morning jog, his "Forest Creek High School" T-shirt does not consistently have the blue line (below the letter "t" in "Forest") connecting the ram's horns or same boldness in color. Continuity mistake: When Joe Dalton is driving Jenna and Mara to pick up the drugs, a few yellowish-white flowers are dangling in front of him, but seem too far to the left (toward the driver) to be hanging from the rearview mirror. However, views from the back of the car to the front do not show any flowers. After Joe "explodes" and Jenna is trying to get into the driver's seat, there is something hanging from the rearview mirror (possibly a pine tree-shaped air freshener) that was not previously there.
