Question: At the end of the film, how do Claude and Ray afford to live, much less have the money to attend a baseball game? They were both declared dead in a fire.

Oppenheimer (2023)
Trivia: In the scene just before the Trinity test, Richard Feynman declines to use a set of welding goggles, claiming the vehicle windshield will filter out the damaging ultraviolet light. This is based on the real event, as he was likely the only person who didn't use dark glasses to witness the test.

Homer's Triple Bypass - S4-E11
Factual error: I get it, it's a comedy. But after open heart surgery, you are sedated for 1-2 days and on a ventilator. So, Homer even being awake after open heart surgery is completely false. Also, as someone who has had open heart surgery, you can barely move your chest because your sternum is fractured.

Sully (2016)
Factual error: When Sully decides to land in the Hudson River, the aircraft is approaching the George Washington Bridge the Ground Proximity Warning System advises to the pilots "Obstacle, Obstacle." This is correct; however, after the aircraft clears the bridge, the system then announces "Clear of conflict." This is incorrect, because the GPWS doesn't advise when clear of terrain. The Traffic Collision Avoidance System advises when clear of conflicts, which is only between aircraft.

The Blues Brothers (1980)
Character mistake: When Elwood tells his boss he is going to quit, his boss tells him he will call payroll and have them get his severance pay ready. While employees who resign do have final pay prepared (pro-rated pay, vacation pay, time owed in lieu, etc.) it would never be classified as "severance pay" if the employee resigned on their own accord. Severance pay is classified for employees who are terminated without cause, meaning no fault of their own. (00:43:10)
Suggested correction: This isn't entirely accurate, only what is most common. First, severance pay is not required by law, nor is paying for accrued PTO, so it's at the discretion of employers who can offer it to whomever they wish. An employer may offer a severance package for termination (with or without cause), retirement, or resignation. Often a severance package comes with certain conditions, such as the employee won't seek unemployment or work for a competitor, or may simply be money paid for PTOs.
Suggested correction: This never happened in the movie, Elwood didn't have a job.

Continuity mistake: When the Blues Brothers are paying the assessment in the Cook County Assessor's Office, the area behind the assessor has a desk and is not very wide. In the shot where the camera has panned out, it shows a much larger area behind the assessor. Additionally, how did all of the emergency services personnel get in the room without anyone in the shot seeing or hearing them. When it cuts to this scene, the Blues Brothers look surprised, but they should have easily seen and heard this. (02:18:44)

Hobbs & Shaw (2019)
Continuity mistake: During the morning scene, it shows Hobbs on the right side of the bed when he turns off his alarm and wakes up, but in the next shot, he's on the left side of the bed.

Dirty Harry (1971)
Other mistake: When Inspectors Calahan and Gonzalez, the chief of police and Lieutenant Bressler are planning the nighttime sting, Gonzalez asks how the rest of the group knows Scorpio will enter the one particular rooftop. The chief of police advises Gonzalez that criminals have behavior patterns. In an earlier point in the film, Gonzalez states he has a bachelor's degree in Sociology. Although profiling and criminology often are studied under psychology, he should at least know how people behave and interact as sociology is the study of patterns of social relationships and people.

Vertical Limit (2000)
Other mistake: When Wick is delegating climbing routes, he tells part of the team to climb "Hockey Stick Gully." This route is known as the South Face or Polish Line and although climbers can climb it, no-one has since 1986 because it is an extremely dangerous route due to the amount of technical climbing and avalanche exposure. Climbing this route in a rescue attempt would almost certainly result in more casualties.

The Rock (1996)
Character mistake: When Captains Fry and Darrow are advising General Hummel to launch the rocket, Captain Fry says "Let's be all we can be." This was the slogan for the United States Army, but repeatedly throughout the film the men are called Marines which are the United States Navy. A Marine would still never use the Army's slogan.
Suggested correction: He's just making a statement. He's not saying he's in the Army.
A Marine would still never use the Army's slogan.

Revealing mistake: In the scene at the tent revival, as Cab is ascending through the tent ceiling, a clear plastic sheet can easily be seen.

Answer: Being dead, they would have to get new I.D.s and social security numbers. Being elderly, they'd grift themselves to the proper agencies about being denied their benefits: elderly, disability and pension from the "companies" they worked for.
