Trivia: Amanda Pays plays Dr. Tina McGee, head of Mercury Labs, a rival to S.T.A.R. Labs. She also played Tina McGee in the 1990 TV show The Flash, however in that series she's the one who helped Barry and built his special suit.

Trivia: Dr. Dae-Sun tells the TV interviewer that the Synths have "Asimov blocks" in their programming so they can not do us any harm. This is a reference to science fiction writer Isaac Asimov and his "3 laws of robotics."

Trivia: When Monarch is talking about this being his best De Leon, he compares it to great works of art. "David" and "Pietà" are both works by Michelangelo. "Soup Can" is in reference to Andy Warhol's "Campbell's Soup Cans" painting.

Trivia: Britta's parents, George and Deb, are played by Martin Mull and Lesley Ann Warren. Mull and Warren stared together in Clue (Col. Mustard and Miss Scarlet) where they were paired together to search the house.

Trivia: Kato makes a comment of how time slows down when he fights. This is another reference to Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee punched and kicked so fast that it couldn't be seen on film and the film had to be slowed down just to see it. In addition, when filming, Lee still had to slow down his punches and kicks.

Trivia: One of the extra ads in the outfield is for "Emilo's Repo Service." Emilo Estevez (Charlie Sheen's brother) starred in the movie "Repo Man."

Trivia: The line the biker chick says in the beginning, "Say it ain't so, Rick" (after being disappointed in Wild Thing's clean cut look and using the word, cute), is from the legend of a kid saying "Say it ain't so, Joe" to Shoeless Joe Jackson when the White Sox were accused of throwing the World Series. Joe Jackson also played for the Indians before the White Sox.

Trivia: The song Van Driessen (voiced by Mike Judge) sings "Lesbian Seagull", is a real song from 1979. Incidentally, Mike Judge heard the song during a David Letterman segment, "Dave's Record Collection." David Letterman does the voice of Butthead's dad.

Trivia: The character listed as Motley Crüe Roadie #1 is played by David Letterman, using the pseudonym Earl Hofert. This is the 2nd time Letterman uses that name in a film. Roadie #1 is Butthead's dad while Roadie #2 is Beavis' dad.

Trivia: When Bulworth walks into the interview wearing the street clothes, the man he says "what's happening, my man" to is George Hamilton himself. Earlier Leroy thought Bulworth was George Hamilton.

Trivia: In Howard's apartment we see the duck version of Raiders of the Lost Ark, "Breeders of the Lost Stork" from the creators of Beaks (Jaws) and Fowl Wars (Star Wars). This is referencing executive producer George Lucas's work, as well as director/writer William Huyck. Huyck did the screenplay for The Temple of Doom as well as being an uncredited writer for Star Wars.

Trivia: David Krumholtz plays the younger version of Abe, played by Judd Hirsch. Krumholtz played the son of Hirsch in the show Numb3rs.

Trivia: In real life, Susan Sarandon, who plays Tammy's grandmother, is only 13 years older than Allison Janney (Tammy's mother) and only 24 years older than Melissa McCarthy (Tammy). That also means Janney is only 11 years older than McCarthy.
