The Alliance - S1-E4

Trivia: The newsletter about the 80's party says "hopefully you will find a lot of useless information contained herein that will help you do your job better, faster, and quicker and cheaper and happier." It then goes on to say "as anyone can easily tell, this newsletter doesn't really have a lot to say. It's really just a prop to fill some space and sorta look like a newsletter without really being much of a newsletter at all."

Futurama (1999)

Trivia: One of fictitious Texas State University's (TSU) opponents is Southwest Texas Bobcats (SWT), which was a real school. In 2003, SWT changed their name to Texas State University at San Marcos (they kept the Bobcat nickname). Eventually, when the other schools in the Texas State University System didn't change their names, "at San Marcos" was dropped and they are known just as Texas State University (TSU).

Carbon Creek - S2-E2

Trivia: One of the Vulcans that crash at Carbon Creek is named "Mestral." At the end of the episode, T'Mir sells her invention, a hook and loop fastener. Velcro, in real life, was invented by George de Mestral.

Shuttlepod One - S1-E16

Trivia: Trip tells Malcolm, "if I remember my honors biology course correctly, your hair and nails keep growing for quite a while after you're dead." However, this is a myth and would never be taught in any biology class, especially in the future. Nothing keeps growing after you're dead, as the skin dries out, and the body decomposes, the skin retracts and just makes the hair and nails look longer. This is more likely a mistake, but since it's possible Trip isn't a biology expert, forgot his honors biology, or is just teasing Malcolm, it should be noted as trivia.

The Three Stooges (2012)

Trivia: At the beginning of episode 2, the motel we see is called "The Filander Inn" (philandering). Philandering means to have illicit sex, usual with someone other than a spouse. The proprietor is "I.C. Nuttin" (I see nothing).

Trivia: Olympia Dukakis appears, uncredited, as herself. She is cousins with former presidential nominee Michael Dukakis. Michael Dukakis' picture was used in a gag in Naked Gun 2 1/2.

Trivia: In the jazz club, when the sad song is sung, the pictures seen on the wall are historically infamous disasters. The last picture seen is of Michael Dukakis. Later in the scene the disaster pictures change, but this seems to be a gag and does not qualify as a mistake, and we see a picture of a Ford Edsel as another example of a disaster.

Trivia: When Clark finds the old home movies, one is titled "Xmas '59." "Christmas '59" was a short story John Hughes wrote that was published in National Lampoon magazine which the film is based on.
