Trivia: There are several mid credit scenes in the film setting up characters for the follow up film, Rise of the Supermen. The first being the Superman Clone waking up and breaking out of Lex's lab, the second is John Henry Irons building his metal suit before taking up the mantle of Steel, the third is Superman's ship from when he was an infant flying to the north pole and creating the Fortress of Solitude with a mysterious figure dressed as Superman hovering before it, and the last being the Cyborg Superman flying towards the camera from space. Trivia: Demoman: The hat for Demo called the Stormin' Norman, has the item description on it "This knight's helm was painstakingly recreated using stills from the classic time travel episode (Ep 417: "A K.I.T.T. in King Arthur's Court") of the hit TV show Knight Rider." This is a reference and joke two to things, talking about the 1982 TV series Knight Rider where the car was called K.I.T.T. However there are only 90 episodes of that show but states it's from the 417th. It is also a play on the 1995 film called A Kid in King Arthur's Court, where a boy went back in time to the days of King Arthur.

Trivia: The Apocalypse/Mayhem: During the cut scene where you see Abaddon and before you fight Straga, there is a moment when a Minion Demon tackles an Angel out of the sky next to a billboard on a building. If you look closely at that sign, there are various names on it. These names are people who are part of the Darksiders' development team. Names including John Tran, Howard Tang, Bri Thatcher, Nick Southam, Chris Doerr, Jeremy Robins, Pedro Seminario, and more.

Trivia: To promote this film, Disaster Artist, distributors found and rented out the exact same billboard on Highland Avenue in LA that Wiseau had used for his movie, The Room. Wiseau used this billboard for five years promoting his film, and the Disaster Artist mimicked The Room's layout in it's billboard included the phone number to RSVP for the screenings.

Trivia: After Wade's punched by his Aunt's boyfriend, he's lying on his makeshift bed on top of the washing machine as he's thinking about what Art3mis had said to him about Halliday making rules. He leans forward and pulls his OASIS visor out of his backpack, and on it is the logo for the classic arcade game Joust. In the book of Ready Player One, the first challenge wasn't a race like in the movie, but rather having to beat a certain DnD character in a game of Joust to get the copper key. Trivia: In Aech's workshop, Art3mis quizzes Parzival about his knowledge of Jams Halliday, and she asks him what his favorite shooter is and who he likes playing as. The response is Goldeneye, which was the game that popularized the first person shooter as a genre on consoles. He states that Halliday's favorite character to play as was Odd Job, who is by far the most infamous character to play as in multiplayer on that game. Due to Odd Job's much shorter stature and build than the rest of the characters, it made it very difficult for the auto aim feature in the game to hit him.
