Corrected entry: When Markinson kills himself he puts his weapon to his left temple, however when Kaffee recounts the story he says Markinson "put his pistol in his mouth. . ."

The Negotiator (1998)
Corrected entry: When Frost racks the Sig Sauer pistol to verify a round is in the chamber, the round pulls out and then slides back into the chamber. In reality, the spring loaded extractor would have pulled the round out and flung it sideways to make room for the next round.
Correction: He performed what is called a 'chamber check'. You partially retract the slide until the round is drawn out of the chamber slightly, it does not eject because the slide is not pulled back far enough for the extractor to kick it.

Live Free or Die Hard (2007)
Corrected entry: McClane carrys a Sig Sauer P220, which has an 8 round single stack magazine. In the first shoot scene in the apartment, he reloads twice and then fires over 12 rounds blindly around the corner.
Correction: The gun McClane uses is actually a P226, the P220 is an older version dating from 1975. The P226 has a 12 to 13 round capaticy, thus making it possible to fire more than 8 rounds.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011)
Corrected entry: The silver chalices have glass cups set in a silver goblet, and these cups break when the chalices are damaged by the Spaniard. When Cruz's character "drinks" from the chalice, you can see that the glass is broken before the silver rim, so when she tilted it to drink, the contents would have poured out of the hole, not into her mouth.

Live Free or Die Hard (2007)
Corrected entry: When McClane drives the SUV into the elevator shaft, you can see where the windshield has been "smashed out". There are wavy clean breaks along the perimeter of the lucite used as the glass. In reality, a windshield would shatter but still hold together in one sheet. It's impossible for it to break cleanly like shown in the scene.
Correction: Back in 2003 when I was in Iraq, we had half a windshield shot out in an ambush. Yes, it is Very possible.

Zombieland (2009)
Corrected entry: When Tallahasee is in the booth, he sets out Beretta magazines on the counter, but when shooting is seen holding 1911s.
Correction: Actually, he has a 1911 in his right hand and a SIG P226 9mm in his left. He sets down SIG and Colt magazines.

Last Man Standing (1996)
Corrected entry: When the man punches through the windshield, his hand is unhurt. Old windshields were simple plate glass and would have slashed his hand up terribly.
Correction: Safety glass was invented in 1903, and was used in automobiles during WWI. After WWI, it was standard practice by car manufacturers to build cars with safety glass.

Licence to Kill (1989)
Corrected entry: When Bond removes the CD from the back of the picture frame in the house it's a standard sized CD. When he places the CD in the computer it's a mini CD.
Correction: No it isn't. It never changes size.

Batman Begins (2005)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Bruce and Alfred are driving the Rolls to the shareholder's meeting, the speedometer is obviously at zero and the tachometer is at idle, even though the car is supposed to be underway at about 40mph. (02:05:15)
Correction: At no point during this scene are the speedometer and/or the tachometer visible.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007)
Corrected entry: When they show Steve Buscemi's license plate "GOTCHA" you can see where they shaded around the letters to give it the look of a stamped plate. That would be fine if NY used stamped plates! NY license plates (including the newer style like depicted here) are a completely flat sheet with printed numbers, not stamping, and have been that way for years.
Correction: I live in New York and I know, for a fact, we use stamped plates.

Hot Fuzz (2007)
Corrected entry: After the gunfight in the pub, Denny is shown with a single barrel shotgun in his hands (close up) and a round of ammunition to load in it. A second later when the shotgun gets racked, the hand is wearing a glove when it wasn't before. (01:41:05)

Live Free or Die Hard (2007)
Corrected entry: McClane carries a Sig P220 .45. NYPD only approves the Sig in 9mm, like the P226. You can easily tell it's a .45 due to the single stack magazine, while the 9mm uses a double stack.
Correction: McClane was never one to follow the rules. So using a different gun is not beyond the realm of reality.

Cars (2006)
Corrected entry: When you see the tyres (on and off the cars) at the racetracks in the movie, they're slick. In Radiator Springs however, Lightning's wearing treaded tires, even though he went from the track to the trailer and from the trailer to Springs without a tire swap.
Correction: McQueen changes from slick tires to treaded tires right after the race during the interview when occurs the other mistake about the rear tires.

Shoot 'Em Up (2007)
Corrected entry: When the guy jumps through the sunroof, the sunroof breaks into several large pieces. Sunroof glass is tempered and very strong. If the glass broke, it would shatter into small pieces, not large ones.
Correction: It never breaks into large pieces. When he shoots it, the bullet holes cause it to shatter in place. Then he falls through it and it breaks apart into the tiny pieces.

Hitman (2007)
Corrected entry: The M16/M203 is quoted as firing 7.62 rounds instead of either 40mm for the grenade launcher or 5.56/.223 for the M16. 7.62 rounds are generally used in the SKS or AK47.
Correction: This is a character mistake, not an actual mistake. 47 even points out that just about everything the man said about the weapons he was talking about was wrong.

Hitman (2007)
Corrected entry: The tattoo below Nika Boronina's left eye switches sides during the first exchange between her and 47. It goes from below her left eye, to below her right eye and back again.
Correction: It doesn't change sides. The camera view switches from a direct shot of her face, to a shot of a reflection of her face, which of course is a mirror image.

Superbad (2007)
Corrected entry: A windshield in a car is held in by a heavy and very strong adhesive. To remove a windshield requires cutting the adhesive and wouldn't be possible by simply kicking it out like done to the police car.
Correction: It depends on how old the adhesive is, whether it cured properly, and whether the windshield was properly seated in the adhesive. I have kicked out a windshield after an accident, and I have had a windshield pop out when I hit a pothole.

Correction: In the original film version, Markinson does indeed put the pistol in his mouth. I believe it has been showed edited in the television version. But in the original film, he places the pistol in his mouth. You can even hear it when he does this. I'm not quite sure how one would describe it, be it a sound his tongue makes or possibly hitting his teeth, but he puts the pistol in his mouth. And it is haunting.
