Factual error: Jack calls Gwen, and when Rhys takes the phone and hangs up on him, Jack's cell phone, for the second time in the series, sounds an audible, impossible dial tone. (00:13:00)
5th Aug 2008
Trivia: For this episode, writer Peter J. Hammond borrowed his own idea - from a story he first used in the 1979 Sapphire & Steel series. There, ghosts from old photographs came to life and could trap the living inside the pictures. Here, very similar mischief is afoot, with the ghosts coming out of old silent films instead.

Last Dance Before An Execution - May 12, 1971 - S3-E19
Continuity mistake: When Sam is strapped into the electric chair, the huge clock on the wall behind him, which is there so that both the prison doctor and the reporters viewing the execution can mark the time of death, reads 7:00. The final scene runs for more than five minutes - after which the clock still reads 7:00. (00:37:15 - 00:42:00)

The Clock King Gets Crowned (2) - S2-E12
Continuity mistake: Batman tosses a large white box at one of the henchmen. The box lands on the round dais of the clockworks, but as that dais begins to rotate, the box disappears. It pops back up a few shots later, now sitting on the stationary corner of the clockwork platform. But as the fight rages on, it vanishes again between shots. (00:21:30 - 00:22:10)

Revealing mistake: The giant crystal's red beam strikes Zaran at the end, turning him into a skeleton. But the lab specimen used for this effect is a little too obviously just that: you can see the pins holding the bones together, as well as the surgical saw incision in the skull. (01:27:00)

The Clock King Gets Crowned (2) - S2-E12
Factual error: Trapped in the overturned hourglass, Batman and Robin lie flat and begin furiously digging in the sand, making the hourglass roll out the door. But to cause such rapid movement, they'd need to be applying their weight against one of the glass sides (like a hamster in a ball). Just digging in the sand wouldn't get them anywhere, at least not that quickly. (00:04:15)

The Clock King Gets Crowned (2) - S2-E12

2nd Aug 2008
Continuity mistake: Everyone and everything Zaran shoots with the giant crystal weapon vaporizes into bright red light and then explodes. But when Zaran himself is hit with the beam, he becomes a skeleton instead of vaporizing, and doesn't explode. (01:27:00)
2nd Aug 2008
Continuity mistake: When Azor is watching the city burn, footage from Quo Vadis is intercut, turning Atlantis into ancient Rome for several scenes. Both cities are scale models, but the Rome set has completely different buildings than those we've seen in the capital city of Atlantis. (01:24:30)
1st Aug 2008
Revealing mistake: When he's speaking to Demetrius, Azor turns his back to the camera, and the zipper in his costume is visible.
