X-Men (1992)

Show generally

Stupidity: One of Rogue's defining character traits is her inability to have physical contact with another person because of her powers and the sorrow it causes her. Several episodes of this show, however, featured devices that could suppress mutant powers, the inhibitor collars being the most prominent. Despite this technology at their disposal, they never even think to have Rogue wear an inhibitor device for times she would like to touch someone. Even if she didn't want to wear those specific collars, a character like Beast or Forge could easily create a new and harmless device by reverse engineering and adapting the existing ones. This of course would eliminate Rogue's ongoing dilemma and potentially curb her development as a character, but it doesn't make sense from the standpoint that she longs for physical contact with others.

Reunion: Part 2 - S2-E13

Other mistake: When Gambit is consoling Rogue just before she is taken to be tortured, he tells her that he loves her, and states that he has never said that to anyone before. But as we learned earlier in the season, Gambit was engaged in his youth to Bella Donna. Surely he told her he loved her at some point. Rogue is aware of this aspect of Gambit's past, so he would have nothing to gain by lying to her about it.

Cable: [Grabs Warren Worthington from behind his bookcase.] Are you Adler?
Worthington: I'm Warren Worthington, [shoots his blaster through the bookcase] the third.
Cable: Next time you take a shot at somebody, make sure you hit him.
Worthington: I'll remember that. [Fires another blast at Cable but misses again, Cable returns fire and knocks Worthington off the patio.]
Cable: You got a short memory.

Cable: I'm looking for Gottfried Adler.
Pyro: Well of course you are, old darling. He's such a popular fellow. [Pyro tries to shoot his flamethrowers at Cable, but Cable dodges and blasts Pyro into the ocean].
Cable: Don't call me darling.

Trivia: The team roster depicted in this series is largely made up of members of the Blue Team (Cyclops, Wolverine, Beast, Gambit, Rogue and Jubilee) that was established in the first issue of X-Men Vol. 2, with Storm and Jean Grey representing the Gold Team. Most of the characters' designs are also based on artist Jim Lee's redesigns.

Bishop: I should have known better than to play poker with an assassin.
Gambit: Shut up fool! [Throws a kinetically charged card at Bishop to no effect.]
Bishop: I can absorb your bio-energy and channel it right back.
Wolverine: I think he's getting ready to raise you.
Bishop: [Shoots an energy blast at Gambit which he narrowly avoids.] That's my mutant power.
Wolverine: [Extends his claws in Bishop's face.] How would you like to try absorbing these? Now sit down, both of you, or cards won't be the only thing that gets cut around here.

X-Men mistake picture

Beauty and the Beast - S2-E10

Continuity mistake: When Graydon Creed is interrogating Carly, their positions in the room are different depending on the shot. When first shown, she is tied to a chair, with a bare wall a few feet to her left. When Wolverine enters the room, he enters through a door that is now on the wall on Carly's left that was previously bare. When Wolverine tells Creed to let her go, they are suddenly right next to a wall on Carly's right. Then when Creed is pointing the gun at Wolverine and for the remainder of the scene, Carly is suddenly facing the door Wolverine came through. (00:15:35 - 00:17:50)

Beauty and the Beast - S2-E10

Plot hole: After Beast and Dr. Bohlson leave Carly's room, they briefly chat in the hallway just outside the door for less than 15 seconds in real time, and then discover that in that brief time frame, the Friends of Humanity abducted Carly from her second-story room via the window, managed to incapacitate the nurse, security guard and Carly's father, toss around furniture and spray paint "For Humanity" on one of the walls, all without any of the victims making a sound or the Friends of Humanity making a sound themselves. The Friends of Humanity aren't ninjas, rather they are shown to be somewhat bumbling, so there's no way they could have done all that as quickly and quietly as shown. (00:12:30)
