Continuity mistake: When Dr. Frankenstein introduces himself to the monster with a soothing "Hello, there", his right hand is on the restraint over the monster's chest. The next shot shows the doctor placing his hand on the restraint again.

Continuity mistake: In the central nervous system lecture scene, Dr. Frankenstein's right hand is just over and above Mr. Hilltop's left shoulder, but the next shot shows the doctor about a foot away from Hilltop and his right hand level with Hilltop's left elbow.

Stupidity: The gang drives away from the circus in the Mystery Machine, and none of them notice that Scooby-Doo, a large, talking, eating-machine dog, is not with them until after they had been on the road for at least several minutes.

Continuity mistake: When Homer and Bart are trying to outrun the crack in the dome, they are falling towards the damaged "P" in the Springfield sign. From their view, the top of the "P" is level with the letters "S" and "R" but when they use the bent leg of the "P" as a ramp to relaunch themselves at the dome, the top of the "P" is scrunched down almost halfway down from the other letters.
