The Dreadful Doll - S1-E12

Stupidity: The office Race is being held prisoner in has a thick wooden plank secured outside to prevent opening the door swinging to the outside, but the door was shown earlier opening to the inside. Furthermore, when Jonny rescues Race after lifting the plank, Race swings the door inside. Aside from the witch doctor guarding the shack, Race would not have been prevented from leaving.

Stupidity: After Alpa Chino and Lazarus force the Flaming Dragon goons to the ground, neither man bothers to collect the goons' AK-47's which are loaded with real bullets (and lying very close to the goons themselves) while Chino and Lazarus' weapons only have blanks.

Stupidity: During the gun battles with the "Tropic Thunder" actors, not one of the Flaming Dragon soldiers notice there is something strange about how the actors are firing their weapons (i.e, in the air, over the heads of the Flaming Dragons, etc.) or that there is no damage inflicted when the actors are shooting at or near objects in the area. Those two factors alone would tip off the Flaming Dragons that blanks were being used in the weapons of the actors.

Stupidity: Brooke uses a flashlight to enter the cabins rather than turning on the cabin light switches. The camp has electricity powering the lights, TV, etc.

Stupidity: Brooke leaves her apartment window open as she sleeps, even after telling her friends that serial killers (like The Night Stalker) strike during the summer when everybody leaves their windows open.

Stupidity: Aside from Nimon starting the gun battle, Sgt. Jiggs and his men have no concern letting bullets fly about in a room full of expensive and important equipment used for the Time Tunnel project.

Stupidity: Apparently Doug, Tony, and the Time Tunnel technicians have no qualms about changing/interfering with the timeline of history by either badly injuring or killing people whose descendants could have affected and altered the future of the Time Tunnel crew and history itself.

Stupidity: The guard outside the dungeon door hears the sword fight between Tony and the two guards inside, and tries to open it, running away to get help and returning with men and a battering ram. Why did he not have a key to open the door in case something went sideways, i.e., a sword fight in the dungeon?

Stupidity: The Time Tunnel technicians send a homing beacon to the dungeon to help Tony and Doug, but through the episode nobody notices the well-lit, futuristic-looking object propped against the dungeon wall next to the door.

Stupidity: Characters entering dark rooms, hallways, etc., without flipping on the light switch, even when there's no reason to expect a lack of power, like a storm, sabotage, etc.

Stupidity: The Engineer and Fireman of the Polar Express train crew should have known better than to not bend back the the metallic prongs of the cotter pin, which would have prevented the cotter pin from coming loose and causing all those problems in the driving of the train.

Stupidity: Major Franklin is struggling up the side of the cliff while the rest of the group are on top of the cliff checking their equipment, then he slips and slides down the cliff side, breaking his leg. After seeing this, the group members reach for a long length of rope that was used to bring up the other members and the supplies. The commandos could have used the rope to help Major Franklin climb up and prevent him from falling and injuring himself.

Stupidity: The gang drives away from the circus in the Mystery Machine, and none of them notice that Scooby-Doo, a large, talking, eating-machine dog, is not with them until after they had been on the road for at least several minutes.

Stupidity: Being a U.S. government-owned Secret Service vehicle, West and Gordon's train, "The Wanderer" is woefully lacking in security, as everyone from uninvited strange women to villains are allowed to just walk through the door of West and Gordon's private train car.

Stupidity: West and Gordon are in the coal cart and rock it until it tips over so they can escape. Neither West nor Gordon had their feet tied up, only their wrists, meaning both could have merely stood up in the cart and jumped out of it, rather than rocking it side to side.

Stupidity: In sick bay, Khan wants to read the Enterprise's technical manuals, explaining to Kirk he was once an engineer. Kirk acquiesces, saying they are available to ANY patient on the viewing screen. Apparently Captain Kirk does not seem to mind total strangers (this time with Napoleonic complexes) reading detailed documents outlining the strengths and weaknesses of a Federation starship.

Stupidity: West is introduced to, then knocked unconscious by Vixen as she hides a club behind her back. A trained Secret Service agent like West would not have let his guard down in this situation, as the entire fort was awash in bad guys.

Stupidity: After Krako is beamed up, his guards check the spot where he was standing, only to be tackled by Spock and Kirk. They both had phasers that could have stunned the guards rather than risk further physical injury to themselves.
