Corrected entry: As Gabriel is starting the download from Woodlan to the "portable" server set up by his men, the progress bar shows "0 of 500TB used". Even with today's harddrives, one would need to carry 250 to 500 harddrives to reach this capacity.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017)
Corrected entry: During the bombardment of the republic ships by the first order, the shots have a flight pattern that looks very much like a balistic curve. There is no gravity source strong enough anywhere nearby to account for this curve.
Correction: This is a fictional technology set in a fictional universe. We do not know the type of energy the weapon uses, therefore we can't say how it should or should not behave. Also, the ships are enormous, and therefore have their own gravitational effect due to their mass, which could account for this.
Correction: While the first is a possibility, that in some way they are able to have some kind of guided laser-torpedo something or other, but the gravity explanation is impossible. If it's guided energy, it would take gravitational fields on the order of massive planets and above to even start to bend the light. These ships are not that massive. If you want to use the "but they have artificial gravity" argument, if it were that powerful a field to affect light and quasi-light objects as is proposed, especially at those distances, then it would absolutely impossible for anyone to move within the ship - they would be either squashed completely flat or rendered immobile due to the sheer power of the field. The best explanation is that the film makers simply wanted to be able to show the guns hitting in a way that wasn't simply straight-line lasers, and hoped that people would just think it was cool.
It's established in the Star Wars universe that the weapons are not light, but rather charged gas and plasma.
Starships so large have something called "inertia dampers" which counter the massive gravitational forces the ship endures for anyone inside it.

Van Helsing (2004)
Corrected entry: The left hand of God is a synonym for the Holy Spirit.
Correction: The Left Hand of God is typically the archangel Gabriel, not the Holy Spirit. This is why Dracula refers to Van Helsing as "Gabriel" throughout the film; he is the archangel incarnate. Gabriel and the Holy Spirit are two separate and very different entities in Christian theology.

Jurassic Park (1993)
Corrected entry: As Dr. Grant arrives at the Velociraptor paddock just before the feeding, there is no cow to be seen anywhere in the wide shot. Two cuts later there is suddenly a cow there lifted up by a crane. (00:27:25)
Correction: In the opening scene, you see that there is a section behind the Velociraptor paddock, which is obscured in this scene. The cow came from behind there.

The Hunt for Red October (1990)
Corrected entry: Just as Red October turns to port after engaging the caterpillar, the camera pans from Red October's stern to the Dallas, which is visible. In the next shot, Jones (the sonar operator) says Red October was some 4,000 yards dead ahead. From the previous shot of the two subs, they are less than 4,000 yards (or some 3.6 km) apart. The large distance would lead to zero visibility. (00:28:00 - 00:30:00)
Correction: It's a movie convention to show visibility under water as much better than it actually is. A segment of shots showing nothing but black (or maybe some hull) would not be particularly exciting. Furthermore, showing the subs as they're supposed to be positioned is almost necessary to make the audience understand their relative positions and orientations, appreciate and see the action and achieve a dramatic effect.

Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995)
Corrected entry: Simon's henchmen blow up the dam with a suitcase bomb. Although the tunnel would make a superb conductor to carry sound waves, Bruce Willis and the audience hear nothing of the explosion. (01:22:00)
Correction: Actually we do hear the explosion. At the same moment McLean closes the truck door, we hear a muffled explosion which McLean reacts to as if the door made that noise.

Stargate SG-1 (1997)
Children of the Gods (1) - S1-E1
Corrected entry: When Apophis first enters SGC at the beginning, the worm hole shuts down. Then the fight between the SGC personnel and the Jaffa takes place. The scene then switches to some other part of the complex and back again. Suddenly there is an outgoing wormhole established. It is made clear throughout the show, that only very few aliens like the Asgard or The Nox can just establish a wormhole by waving the hand. Earth neither has a DHD (which is known to Apophis) nor does Apophis have access to the gate controls or was there enough time for the Jaffa to dial the gate by hand. Even assuming the scene switches giving enough time to enter the control room, the Jaffa can not be familiar with earth technology as to know how to initiate a dialing sequence on the computer.
Correction: It is later shown that a Goa'uld ribbon device can be used to power/dial a stargate, and in the movie continuum there is a device that can itself dial a stargate, in either case it would be possible.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979)
Corrected entry: The ship is shown one time accelerating from warp 1 to warp 7. The event of reaching warp 7 is accompanied by a spectral-colored tube. After reaching warp 1 no maneuver (as long as the speed stays above warp 1) changes the visual appearence of the flight (i.e. the white streaks passing the star ship).
Correction: Since this is the first time we've seen the effect, with nothing previously established, how can it be a mistake?

Star Trek: First Contact (1996)
Corrected entry: Just before beaming up to the Enterprise and leaving the 21st century, Picard calls the ship to give the corresponding order. He does this without touching his badge before starting to talk. When not on board of the Enterprise the badge has to be tapped to active the communications link (some sort of energy saving mode). Just starting to talk and activate a com link with this only works on board.
Correction: Incorrect. There are numerous instances on the show where they keep an "open communications link" with someone on the surface of a planet. When they do this, tapping the badge is not necessary.

The Da Vinci Code (2006)
Corrected entry: Just before the English policemen shoots Silas his gun is in clear view. The position of the slide of Silas' gun indicates an empty gun, but the policemen still fire at Silas.
Correction: This is a character mistake, even policemen make mistakes in tense situations and didn't realise he'd run out of ammo.

Enemy of the State (1998)
Corrected entry: Towards the end of the film Will sees himself in his TV set. The image is taken from directly in front. Will should be smart enough to know that the image can't be taken from an elevated position like the fire alerter he is looking at.
Correction: The two cameras they have planted were in the fire alerters, so that was his first thought. Surprised by viewing himself in the TV, he might have not thought about it propperly or probably had a hard day and couldn't bother thinking about the exact location of the camera. This is a character mistake.

Paycheck (2003)
Corrected entry: When Ben Affleck tries to open the BMW with the remote control on the key, he repeatedly presses the "close"-button. The "open"-button is the one closer to the key itself, while the BMW-sign in the key is used to close.
Correction: This is not necessarily a movie mistake. It could be considered a mistake by Michael, pushing the wrong button.

Jurassic Park (1993)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Dr. Grant and the two kids climb the electrified perimeter fence, just before Dr. Sattler reactivates the power, Dr. Grant can be seen from underneath while climbing. After walking for two days in lots of mud and rain, his shoes are still pretty clean.
Correction: There had been plenty of rain. You will also have noticed that they've probably been walking in the grassy fields all morning (before climbing the fence). Walking on wet grass is very effective in cleaning the underside of shoes.

Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (2005)
Corrected entry: During the second airport scene, on the left side behind Fuller's shoulder, you can see the movie poster of "Miss Congeniality 1". (01:09:55)
Correction: I thought this too at first but my wife and I paused the DVD and it is actually a poster advertising Gracie's book. You can just make out the sub-title "Armed and Fabulous."

Stargate: Atlantis (2004)
Corrected entry: After returning from Atlantis base Dr. McKay says he landed the jumper a little outside of the range of the EM-field. At the end of the show, when the field is reactivated, he says he found a way to increased the range of the device by some 50 percent. As the jumper has been landed outside of the area previously covered by the field, he should now be inside it again, however the jumper still is able to start (you can hear the engines coming on-line).
Correction: There is nothing to suggest the EM field is spherical with the generator at the center. McKay could have enlarged it in a triangular shape with the kids village at one point, leaving the jumper safely outside it.

Correction: Gabriel didn't download the data to a portable server. His men went to Woodlawn to disable all the safety protocols (firewalls etc) and the download was completed via the normal Internet to a server farm elsewhere. This is why Gabriel turned off phone networks, satellites etc to make sure he had as much bandwidth available as possible for his download.
Granted I've not seen this one in a while but it's shown on screen that the download is happening to the device hooked up.
