Corrected entry: In the scene where Spooner is telling the girl scientist about his car crash in the river, he had lost his left arm in the accident. Yet he was able to knock on the window with his left hand to tell the robot to go after the girl next to him.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Lockhart is saying something about the Bandon Banshee, he calls it a "him." Banshees are female spirits.
Correction: Don't forget Lockhart is an idiot and lies about all his adventures. This shows that not only is he a liar, but he didn't even bother checking his facts.

Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Corrected entry: When Dr. Octavius first attaches the mechanical arms to his body, he turns to the audience in his lab and lets the harness click around his waist, then the long spinal-control thing attach to his back. Needles which interface with his nervous system sink into his flesh, which is gross for the audience to watch, because they all flinch and/or groan in disgust. However, as he was facing them, and thus they couldn't SEE those needles, what were they disturbed about? Also, there's no way the tentacles' cameras could have shown it on the TV screens nearby - they were not activated yet.
Correction: Two possible answers. One, the noise is sufficiently gross that their imagination does the rest. Two, that Octavius's implement has been somewhat explained to them beforehand, so that when they hear the apparatus and see Ocatavius wincing, they know exactly what is going on.

Sleeping Beauty (1959)
Corrected entry: In the kings' drinking song, King Hubert sings, "Let me fill up your glass; that glass was all foam." This would make a lot more sense if they were drinking beer instead of wine. (There ARE so-called "foamy wines," but you'd never get a glassful of foam).
Correction: When it isn't poured properly, champagne CAN end up being merely a glass full of foam, and can take up to two minutes clearing, leaving very little liquid at the bottom of the glass.

Minority Report (2002)
Corrected entry: When they get on the subway train and are retina-scanned, one of the passengers is seemingly scanned through her eyelids, or at least the flash of light appears only on her lids. This should not be possible with how retina scans identify very fine details. (00:45:05)
Correction: This is taking place 50 years from now, it is not inconceivable that scientists would have figured out such a new technology. While some scanners in the movie seem to need full access to the eye, there's nothing to say that the larger static scanners in public places can't work more efficiently.

Stargate (1994)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Jackson is looking at the hieroglyphics on the walls of the cave in the city and figuring out the language, how did the girl know what he meant as he pointed at the hieroglyphics if Ra had outlawed any of the people there learning to read.
Correction: It can mean one of two things. First, that there is a general feeling of insatisfaction and that though the slaves don't do anything about it, there's a covert movement where at least a few people still know a few symbols--kind of a peaceful and subdued way to rebel against Ra. Second, it can mean that she is simply a bright and imaginative girl who has a good sense of observation and was able to relate the drawing to her own living universe, to find the closest thing around her looking like it.

Lost in Translation (2003)
Corrected entry: On their first night out with Charlotte's friends the group goes to a Karaoke place. There (and only there) Charlotte is wearing a reddish wig for whose appearance and later disappearance there's no explanation. (00:47:30)
Correction: Do we need an explanation? She doesn't need to have a reason. One of her friends could have brought along some props to make to karaoke more like make believe, as some people do. If it helps them be in character so as to have more fun, why not?

Bowling for Columbine (2002)
Corrected entry: Regarding the school shooting at Buell Elementary School, Michael Moore claimed no one knew why the little boy shot the little girl (Kayla Rolland). Actually that statement isn't entirely factual. The little boy who killed Kayla had a history of violence. He had been previously suspended for stabbing another student with a pencil. He actually fought with Kayla the day prior to the shooting. He also once stabbed another child with a knife.
Correction: While the above is true, the fact is, we do not know WHY he suddenly moved forward and did it. No one can. We're not in his head.

The Last Samurai (2003)
Corrected entry: Near the beginning, the first time Algren goes to train the troops, and at the end, the general says they will leave to ambush the samurais troops at 6 A.M. However, seeing as he is in the military, he should've said 0600.
Correction: The 24 hour clock was not in use yet in the late 1800s.

Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Corrected entry: When Peter is looking out of his window onto the city asking if he's not supposed to have what he wants, he's talking and breathing out loud right up next to the window. There should be the little cloud of condensation on the window from his breathing onto it.
Correction: If the temperature is even just a bit warm outside, no condensation would be formed on the window because the temperature difference between the window and Peter's breath is not significant enough.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001)
Corrected entry: When Ron comes to ask Harry if he can sit with him just after they have boarded the train, it is very hilly outside and they are in the countryside. London is a huge city and the suburbs continue for miles, so it would be impossible for them to be in the country so shortly after departing.

The Day After Tomorrow (2004)
Corrected entry: Just after the tornado passes through the office where the guy was with the girl, the cleaner looks under the door and there is a very bright light shining through, but in the external shot, we see it is very dark and the sun is shining on the other side of the building.
Correction: It only looks bright because he is in the dark and the light is coming through a slit, so it looks much brighter than it really is.

Unfaithful (2002)
Corrected entry: When Connie and Paul make love in the cafe bathroom, we see Connie return from the bathroom like nothing even occurred. However, if she and Paul just got done making love, wouldn't she be all sweaty and out of breath? Even if she wiped her face off, you should still be able to see that she was sweating. Same with Paul.
Correction: That was a quickie. Which means it happens quick. Which also means they probably didn't get at it for long enough for her to break a sweat. And she didn't run a marathon: catching back her breath would not have taken more than a minute or two.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001)
Corrected entry: After Hagrid did the combination on the brick wall, you can see, as the are entering Diagon Alley, that the bricks are with cement despite being spinning and moving a few seconds earlier.
Correction: It's probably some kind of magic cement which allows the bricks to do their trick and then become solid again.

The Breakfast Club (1985)
Corrected entry: Towards the end of the movie Allison reveals that she's attending the detention simply because she has nothing better to do. This was probably done to emphasize her being a loser with no life, but it's ludicrous in realistic terms. Vernon would have surely had a list of the students scheduled for detention, and would have immediately realized that one extra student was there who had no business being there. And as far as I know there is no High School that would allow a student to sit through a detention session just for the fun of it.
Correction: Allison also states she is a compulsive liar.][Vernon didn't know her name either, it's possible that she wasn't supposed to be there and he didn't care.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001)
Corrected entry: When Harry let's Hedwig fly to Hogwarts castle, the Quidditch grounds don't have stands.
Correction: The stands are probably only set up whenever there is a match. With magic, it's probably a simple task.

Lost in Translation (2003)
Corrected entry: Just before he leaves the hotel at the end of the film, Bob sees Charlotte get into the lift (presumably going back up). Then he turns round, goes to the car and drives off. A few seconds later he spots Charlotte walking down the street. This is so obvious a mistake that I'm fully prepared to accept that it's a cinematic device.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000)
Corrected entry: When Grissom puts Warrick in charge of the shift he asks why he didn't ask Nick since "he's more senior than me". However both Nick and Warrick were promoted to CSI-3 in the first season.
Correction: This probably implies that despite the fact that they were both promoted, Nick was hired first.

Lost in Translation (2003)
Corrected entry: When the hotel fire alarm goes off, Charlotte gets out of bed in short pyjamas. Outside she is in long pyjamas. Bob comes down in his kimono, no jacket. After a drink in the bar they go back up in the lift. He has a jacket on over his kimono.
Correction: We see Bob waking and getting up, then he's outside, but we only see the upper part of his body. He could have taken his coat with him before leaving his room and have been holding it in his hand outside, which means we didn't see it on screen even though he had it with him.

The Last Samurai (2003)
Corrected entry: The samurai's reign was already long over before 1876; it ended in 1867.
Correction: That's the whole point of the movie. Those shown in the movie are the people who will not give up their way of life, even though the law forced them to. That's why the emperor's army is trying to annihilate them.

Correction: I don't remember him knocking on the window, only screaming at the robot to save the girl. Besides, his arm could have been lost during this rescue rather than during the accident itself. He says he had been pinned inside the car, so that presumes the robot would have had to pull him very hard to save him, thus damaging his arm and ribs.
