Corrected entry: When Bond looks at the map on the tube, it says that many different tube lines, including the Hammersmith and City line stop at Westminster, when in fact only the line he's on and the Circle line stop there.
Corrected entry: Q and Bond are trying to crack Silva's computer code in the new MI6 quarters - Bond does not have an earpiece. Once MI6 has been hacked, all the doors open and Bond runs off to find Silva - still no earpiece. Once Bond runs into where Silva was held, he starts talking to Q through an earpiece. (01:28:00)
Corrected entry: In the fight scene in Raoul Silva's island, Bond defeats all the henchmen off Silva. During the fight Silva is holding a gun, but as soon as all his henchmen are down, helicopters arrive there. When Silva looks at Bond he doesn't have any gun in his hand. He is empty-handed. (01:20:15)
Corrected entry: When he is on the train being followed by the girl in the car he goes through a long tunnel, only for her to be waiting to shoot at the other side - surely a train going through a mountain must be quicker than a car driving round it.
Correction: She can drive car at faster rate. This was one of the reason why she was recriuted by MI6. Also the train in the tunnels can travel at only at slower speed (60-80km/h) while the car she is driving can travel at around ~120km/h.
Corrected entry: The excavator Bond uses in the train chase scene is a Caterpillar 320DL, however Caterpillar builds all of their excavators with the cab on the left of the arm, not on the right as shown in the movie.
Correction: This isn't true at all.
Corrected entry: When M breaks light bulbs to make nail bombs in chandeliers at Skyfall house and pushed them into shotgun cartridges the filament would have broken so there would not be a way of igniting the gunpowder to cause explosion.
Correction: The filament is just a small piece of metal that resists the current. Heating up and glowing causing light. Even if the filament is broken it you put something between the prongs of the light bulb. It will conduct electricity. If this is gun powder you would then connect an electrical circuit and set it off.
Corrected entry: When on the motorbike on the rooftops of Istanbul, Bond at first has no sunglasses on, then sunglasses on, then no sunglasses.
Correction: Bond is never wearing sunglasses in the first place. From the beginning of the chase scene where he steals the motorbike to the end where he jumps onto the train he is never seen with a pair of sunglasses on. Not even the silver and black aviators he is seen wearing later in the movie.
Corrected entry: The scene where James Bond kills a man in the water under the ice does not make sense. Bond wraps a leg around the man to strangle him to death. Strangling a man cuts off his ability to breath, but this is illogical as he already cannot breath underwater.
Correction: Loss of consciousness and death by strangling is primarily caused by cutting off the blood supply to the brain. This achieves the desired effect long before asphyxiation and is therefore correctly used in the underwater scene.
Corrected entry: In the government committee shoot-out scene. The same Black police officer gets shot twice. He comes though a door, and gets shot by Silva. Scene cuts a wide shot, the officer is crawling across the floor. Scene cuts to Bond, then cuts back to Silva shooting. Cuts to the same door the officer just came though, and he comes though again and gets shot again.
Correction: He's initially shot near the door (which he doesn't enter through - he's already in the room). He survives the first shot, as we see him crawling to take cover in the recessed doorway. Once Silva is distracted by Bond's arrival and Moneypenny shooting at him, the officer takes the opportunity to attempt another shot, moving out of cover in the doorway (once again not entering through the door, which is still closed) to give himself a better chance. Unfortunately, this only gets him shot again, this time apparently fatally. A clear sequence of events, none of which represent a mistake.
Corrected entry: When the explosion in MI6 occurs, they say that there are 6 deaths. When M is walking near the tombs with England flags, there are 7 or 8 tombs, not 6.
Correction: Pay attention to the exact wording of the news report: "Early reports from the scene indicate at least six dead." This clearly lends itself to the final total being higher, as additional bodies are found or the critically injured succumb to their wounds.
Corrected entry: In the scene where M is asked to retire from MI6, she puts down her glass and gets up to leave. She picks up her coat from the back of the chair but leaves her bag on the floor. In the next shot, the bag is no longer there.
Correction: In this scene, M stands up to leave and grabs her coat. After she finishes talking the movie goes to a half shot of Mallory, giving her plenty of time to reach down and grab her bag. As she walks away both of her hands were hanging down and are cut off by the camera.
Corrected entry: Just before Bond reaches the Chapel, he plunges into icy water. In the next scene, in the Chapel, he is perfectly dry.
Correction: Bond is wet when he enters the chapel. His hair and face are clearly seen to be dripping water.
Corrected entry: In the bar with Bond drinking and watching television he reaches over for a bottle which is 80% full. He pours a small amount into his glass and watches the TV. In the next shot the bottle is only about 20% full.
Correction: When Bond grabs the bottle, you can clearly see it only has liquid in it up to the bottom part of the label [which would be rough a quarter of a bottle left]. He pours some out into his glass to lessen the amount even more. In subsequent angles, the bottle shows about the amount you'd expect after he pours some into his glass.
Corrected entry: We are told that 6 people died in the bomb blast at MI6, yet M is seen lamenting the tragedy with 8 coffins covered in Union Jack flags.
Correction: The mention of 6 people is on the news, and is along the lines of "at least 6 people". Given that was a breaking news story it's hardly surprising they didn't have all the information.
Correction: While the CNN report said at least six dead in the attack, MI6 also believes two other agents had been recently killed: Ronson (shown dying in the opening scene) and Bond (who was believed dead by MI6 at that time).
Corrected entry: About a third of the way through, Bond is in a black car, being driven somewhere in London. In the first shot of the black car driving on the street, there is a white car behind. Then there is a close up of Bond in the black car through the window. In this shot there is a black car behind Bond's car. The next shot [back to the whole car] the white car is behind Bond's car again.
Correction: These are shots at different points in time during their drive to the new MI6 buildings. First we see a white Seat Leon, then a black Jaguar X-type and then a white Mercedes A-Class.
Corrected entry: The cars used in the chase in Istanbul have French licence plates.
Correction: The cars have Turkish 34 [Istanbul] plates. French plates end with the 2 digit department number, Turkish plates start with the 2 digit department number so they are correct. Land Rover license plate is 34 AR 1597 and the Audi license plate is 34 UE 641.
Corrected entry: Just before Bond confronts the assassin in the high-rise building, Bond pulls his gun. You can see that the lights on his gun are green, however Bond is wearing leather gloves and the gun is set to activate only upon reading his unique palm print - impossible while wearing gloves.
Correction: Bond is shown taking off his gloves slowly while watching the assasin enter the building. Afterwards he pulls his gun with the bare hand and checks the green light activation.
Corrected entry: In one of the tube train scenes, the destination blind shows 'Wimbledon'. This is a terminus on the London Underground for the District Line, a sub-surface line. No deep-level London Underground line with the rolling stock shown in the film serves Wimbledon.
Correction: Some District Line trains travel from Wimbledon to Upminster, which was the route used in the film.
Corrected entry: We don't see where Moneypenny shot Bond, and are never told later in the film, but no wound is visible when he is swimming, or when Silva undoes his shirt, only the wound he got on the train in the right shoulder.
Corrected entry: In the opening chase scene, the Land Rover that Bond and the girl are driving in crashes into the Audi and then into a market stall, and the windscreen remains intact. The next shot that shows the girl in the vehicle, the windscreen has completely cracked.
Correction: The windshield is shot in the following gun battle.
Correction: When he looks at the map of the district line, it only says that you can change to the Jubilee line at Westminster. which is entirely correct. This can be verified if you look at a real London Tube map.
