Plot hole: The US President (POTUS) would have been taken to Bethesda Naval Hospital, not some inner city facility. It is already all set up for POTUS to arrive suddenly. Staff have been vetted as a matter of course, security already exists etc, etc.

Deliberate mistake: If the files on the hard drive are encrypted, as stated, they would also be locked against being deleted by a command, and Atlee would not be able to use a phone in close proximity to issue the delete command. He would need a massively powerful magnet or EMP to clear the drive.

Factual error: Lobbyists (or any other private citizen) are not subject to Senate Ethics rules. Only actual senators are. Sloane committed no offence in organising an expensive vacation for a senator. The senator did by accepting it, though.

Factual error: The 5th Amendment to the Constitution simply states that "No person... shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself." There is no actual or implied provision that means once you have answered a question, you can't plead the 5th on any subsequent questions, as the movie depicts.

Other mistake: When Ellie in NY is on the phone to Mme Clemence her phone shows the time as 0317 am, but when Sallinger visits his boss at home in Lyon it is still dark. Even in winter it would be broad daylight in France at 0917 when it is 0317 in New York.

Stupidity: When Bishop is first holding the gun on Gina in the cabin, he stands close enough for her to grab the gun and try to get it off him. A man of his experience would never make that mistake, it's one of the basic rules of controlling someone at gun point: Stand more than an arm's length away.

Character mistake: There is no way an operative of Q's position and experience would have plugged a device taken from a bad guy into their network. Especially as they had had a security hack only a few days earlier, and this was a security establishment. It would have been thoroughly tested and checked on a stand-alone, air-gapped setup first.

Factual error: If you drive a straight shaft through the earth's core from London (52deg N, 0deg E) down to the other side of the world it would come out at 52deg South, and 180 East. Which is somewhere out in the South Pacific ocean over 500km from New Zealand's South Island, not on mainland Australia.

Factual error: When they arrive at Heathrow and are met by the Aeroflot hostess twice the tannoy can be heard announcing a British European Airways flight. BEA and BOAC merged to form British Airways in 1974.
