Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Other mistake: In the cave, Angélica steps out of the water and in the close-up of her face her hair is dry, and even drier in the following close-up.

Other mistake: In the mutiny scene where the cook is torched, the distance between the long boat and the Queen Anne's Revenge increases when the cook is only shown paddling away after the QAR turns towards it.

Factual error: In the courtroom scene, the Judge uses a gavel (the small wooden hammer). These are not, and have never been, used in British courts.

Suggested correction: It's already common knowledge that ALL the Pirate's movies have a bonus scene after the credits. This doesn't count as trivia.

And how do things become "common" knowledge? By being listed somewhere such that people who don't know things can discover them. By your reasoning no trivia should ever be listed anywhere, because everyone should know it all already.

Question: Jack seems to be in the habit of getting smacked across the face by a woman a lot. In a deleted scene, it shows Jack getting smacked in the face by a mermaid. Why was this scene deleted from the movie?

Answer: Although this has been a running gag throughout the series, the filmmakers probably felt it quite didn't fit into the storyline or else thought the joke had simply worn itself out. It may also have been intended to be used for promoting the film and in theatrical trailers.

raywest
