The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear

Corrected entry: Early in the film, when Frank is at the bar (The Blue Note), he orders a Black Russian, however (less than 30 seconds later) the waiter brings him a drink that is definitely not a Black Russian. (00:18:30 - 00:19:05)

Correction: The whole scene was a series of gags. The waiter was able to produce the strong man in seconds. The fact he got a random fruity drink so quickly was just another gag.

Correction: While this is true, you have to consider the humor of this movie. So this can't really qualify as a mistake.

Corrected entry: Right after the zoo accident and before the dancing scene, a giraffe runs past a house and it makes a sound, but giraffes don't make any vocal sounds.

logan crews

Correction: It's a misconception that giraffes make no sounds. http://www.puppetopia.com/giraffe/Info.htm#e.

Rlvlk

Corrected entry: Just before Frank bursts through the door that hits Barbara Bush, you can see the special doorstop mounted on the floor to protect the actress from being bopped in the nose.

Nicki

Correction: Many doors have such rubber doorstops to prevent them hitting the wall or breaking their own hinges by opening too wide, particularly heavily used doors like one in a public room like this.

Corrected entry: At the end of the movie, Frank kisses Barbara Bush by accident during his speech. She disappears during a few shots and reappears on the balcony. (01:19:35)

Dr Wilson

Correction: Barbara Bush is simply off camera standing next to her husband, George Bush. She had plenty of time to step back to be next to him when we get a shot of Jane. The balcony scene isn't a continuous shot though. And she's back because she's with George Bush on the balcony.

Bishop73

Continuity mistake: When Frank is driving the tank, a dog house is connected to the tank with a chain. You can see the chain is connected inside the dog house. When it cuts the chain is connected to the corner of the dog house. (00:32:30)

Question: In the first film, Frank took on all the world leaders and proved himself to be a skilled fighter. So why is his fight scene in this film with Hector Savage so awkward and shows Frank as being a clueless fighter?

Gavin Jackson

Chosen answer: It was also stated in the movie that Savage was a professional fighter. Therefore Frank would be no match for him.

Answer: Rule of funny.

Answer: Just because he beat up a group of people doesn't mean he can beat anybody. Hector may have been stronger whereas the leaders may have been a bit weaker than him.
