Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, when Jane is under control, she points the gun at Frank. The shot behind Jane, she has both hands on the gun. It is tough to see, but it is happening. The camera changes to show Jane, and her left arm is completely down at her side.
Continuity mistake: When Frank's plane is landing, it's a DC-10, but when Frank is getting off the plane, it's an L-1011.
Continuity mistake: The scene where Frank breaks into Ludwig's office. First he rummages through the desk, then he readjusts the chair. In the next shot, he suddenly is holding what seems to be a stuffed fox. (00:45:09)
Revealing mistake: Jane stands up and strips supposedly naked in front of Frank on their first date. In the widescreen DVD, it's obvious she has a skin colored top on.
Continuity mistake: When Frank is chasing the doctor who tries to kill Nordberg, the doctor crashes into the missile and you can see Frank's vehicle behind him as it should be. Right before the fireworks scene, Frank's vehicle disappears. It should still be following the doctor.
Continuity mistake: When Drebin first meets Ludwig, you see the shelf of vases. To the left of that is the fancy painting. However, when Drebin accidentally sets fire to the office, he rushes to the shelf to catch the vases as they fall. He then look to his right to see the flames getting close to the painting. He moves to his right (pulling down the shelf of vases in the process), takes the painting off the wall, and impales it on the plant. It should've been the other way around. Drebin should've looked and moved to his left instead of his right.
Continuity mistake: As Reggie Jackson starts walking toward the Queen at the end, the scoreboard behind him no longer shows three outs as it did moments before.
Revealing mistake: Frank's plane is labeled near the front for the fictional Atlantic Overseas Airline. When Frank is speaking to the press, the plane's real TWA logo is still visible on the tail.
Continuity mistake: After deactivating the hypnosis, Ludwig has the remote in his left hand. A second later, it's in his right hand.
Continuity mistake: During the press conference, Frank has one empty pitcher in front of him, and is draining a second one. The third full one is positioned on the next tray. A moment later, the full one is suddenly in front of him.
Continuity mistake: Just before Frank accidentally nudges one of the fishermen into the river with his car, if you look in the background there is a police car. In the next shot of Frank getting out of his car on the pier, the police car is now noticeably much closer than in the previous shot.
Continuity mistake: When Frank hits the garbage cans in his car, causing the airbag to go off, watch how they are inflated during this sequence. The airbags are deflating in the oncoming angle but then are sticking out of the passenger window in the opposite angle.
Continuity mistake: The aircraft landing at the beginning of movie is a United DC 10. The aircraft taxiing to the parking area is an L1011.
Suggested correction: This has already been addressed earlier. There is nothing to suggest the 2 jets are related in any way. They just show a jet landing and a jet taxiing.
Continuity mistake: While there is a "grand slam" depicted as one of the jokes, the inning-by-inning scoreboard never shows the Angels scoring 4 runs in an inning.
Factual error: The first batter of the baseball game, Jay Johnstone, bats from the right-handed batter's box. Johnstone, a real player who is playing himself in the scene, was a lifetime left-handed batter.
Suggested correction: Johnstone also played his last game in 1985, he never played for Seattle, and never wore "29." So, other than the name, there's nothing to indicate he's playing himself. He's not even credited as "himself."
