Factual error: A running gag in this film is Bob getting the wing mirrors stolen off his car every time he visits Terry at his flat. Bob's car is a Vauxhall Chevette; these cars were only fitted with door mirrors. You can see the screw holes on the doors where the standard fit mirrors have been removed for filming.

Factual error: The panels on a caravan are made of fibreglass so when Bob crashes his car into the caravan it wouldn't do as much damage as it did to Bob's car.

Continuity mistake: When Bob and Terry are driving back up the road to look for Thelma and Christina, the other vehicles on the road change every time the angle changes.
