Mr. Mom mistake picture

Visible crew/equipment: Caroline returns home after her first day at the ad agency. Just as she calls out, "Where is everybody?," the shadow of the boom mic moves across the wall, at the top left side of the screen, and simultaneously we can see the tip of the moving boom mic near the top of the foyer mirror. Revealing mistake: When Doris the TV repairwoman exclaims, "You crazy? You fed a baby chili?," it then cuts to a closeup of Megan, and this closeup is a flipped shot; everything is backwards. (00:35:25)

Continuity mistake: When Jack kicks the TV it falls backwards, and the screen has snow on it. However, when the repair technician comes in, the screen is broken.

Pam-I-am

Continuity mistake: When the TV repairman shows up to find out what's wrong with the TV for the last time she says that she found out the problem with the TV: "this shoe." It was a shoe that was left in the TV after Michael Keaton kicked the screen in. However, watch the scene, his shoe never leaves his foot.

Continuity mistake: When Carolyn leaves the house for her first day of work the sun is out, then it begins thundering and raining. It's pouring while Jack takes the kids to school. When Carolyn gets to work, the camera shows a far back shot of her new office building and the streets and all are clearly dry - she could work in a different part of town, but then when she gets in the elevator, which is made of glass and on the outside of the building, it's soaking wet from the rain.

Factual error: Jack lives in suburban Detroit, yet there are palm trees along the streets.

Revealing mistake: After the baby eats the chili, Jack comes out of her room holding a clean diaper with tongs and puts it in the garbage bag. It should have been a dirty one.

Pam-I-am

Continuity mistake: When Martin Mull and Teri Garr fly to the West coast on the company's private jet they have a bottle of champagne. There are three shots: both of them, him, and her. During the cutting between shots the ice in the champagne holder keeps disappearing and re-appearing throughout the scene.

Audio problem: Just after the baby, Megan, eats the can of chili, she hiccups once or twice. You can hear the hiccup, but her stomach and mouth don't even move with the hiccup.

Continuity mistake: When Megan eats the can of chili, first it is all around her mouth. The camera moves to Jack and the others, then back to Megan. This time the chili is all around her entire face, not just her mouth. A few shots later, the chili mess moves again.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Kenny lies on his bed after his dad takes his blanket away, his feet are toward one side of the bed, but when the camera angles changes, he is lying in the middle.

Continuity mistake: The scene where Jack is playing poker with the girls and their kids are in the living room playing. When Carolyn gets home and all the girls leave, none of them take their kids.

Family5

Revealing mistake: In the Young and the Restless dream sequence scene where Jack is shot by his wife, Jack falls back into a chair grabbing his beer from the table, beer overflows. You can see Joan cover her mouth and slightly chuckle. His wife Caroline has to completely turn her head from the camera because she's about to crack up.

William LaGrand

Deliberate mistake: On Carolyn's first day, the scene is set by showing the exterior of a large square office building supposedly in Detroit, but when she is riding up the exterior elevator, it is obvious that the building outside is the Bonaventure in Los Angeles.

Visible crew/equipment: When Caroline arrives home in the taxi cab at the end, she sees Joan's red car in the driveway. When she opens the door you can see a reflector screen in the window for a split second. (Use slo-mo if necessary).

Other mistake: When Kenny throws the car in gear at the grocery store, he throws it into drive, but the car goes backwards.

Audio problem: When Caroline is walking around the boardroom meeting on her first day, every ounce of dialogue from the corporate team is echoed, indicating it must be a bad studio recording from the background.

Audio problem: When Ron hangs up the phone in Caroline's hotel room, and she comes out and asks who was on the phone, there is an obvious echo when Ron answers 'wrong number' indicating poor acoustics from the sound stage.

Alex: Wow, what a house.
Jack Butler: Yeah, probably mortgaged to the eyeballs.
Caroline: Not this one, his great grandfather - Commander Richardson - built it.
Jack Butler: Eh... hand me down.

Question: After the scene where Jack convinces Kenny to give up his "woobie" for a couple days, he's in the kitchen and throws some noodle like things into a boiling pan. They immediately boil up and start to go in every direction soon looking like a mop head. What was it he threw in that pan and why did it react that way?

Quantom X

Answer: Deep-fried rice noodles. I believe they're known as cellophane noodles. That's actually how they react. You heat oil in a pan and when the noodles hit the oil they "explode" like what you see in the film.
