Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
Video

Continuity mistake: From a significantly far distance, Sid is seen rolling one of the dinosaur eggs to the other two and is originally seen on his way to push the egg to left side of the other two, but is instead seen pushing the egg between the other two in the following shot. Also, in the initially mentioned shot, there is no downhill slope to the left of Sid and the eggs. But magically, one appears right next to them two shots later. (00:12:15)

Continuity mistake: In the beginning, Scrat is sniffing for his acorn and reaches the end of the cliff. Before he reaches the end, look at his saber teeth closely; they've disappeared. When his nose goes over the edge, they reappear.

Continuity mistake: In the end of the plant scene, Buck agrees to help them. He throws his knife into the ground before he explains his rules. When he's telling his rules, the knife is gone. When he's done telling his rules, it's back and he picks it up.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Buck tells about his encounter with Rudi, you see Buck swing back and forth on the gross pink thing. The next scene in the cave he is still swinging, "back and forth" but he's not hanging from anything.

Suggested correction: He is standing on his feet all this time, I recommend watching the movie.

Continuity mistake: When Buck recites his tale of how he lost the eye, he covers his eye with on hand (paw) and run up a bare tree. There are no leaves in the vicinity, and there is nothing in either hand (paw). But reaching the top, he ties the eye-patch.

Suggested correction: He landed on the ground where he could possibly grab a leaf. How he got it up the tree is still inexplicable.

Continuity mistake: When Crash and Eddie faint, Ellie's trunk is tucked away like Manny's trunk, then when Ellie says, "I thought those guys were extinct," Ellie's trunk is now in front of her.

Question: In Buck's first theory scene, when Sid attacks Mummy dinosaur with the broccoli, what is all that green stuff that takes over the picture? Has the dinosaur turned into the broccoli? If so, why did Manny say " where's the dinosaur" if the dinosaur became the broccoli?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: The "green stuff" covering the view of the camera are fragments of the broccoli that were released due to the broccoli being used for hitting, likely representing the dinosaur's transition development of becoming a vegetable. The dinosaur was claimed to have become a vegetable, not that broccoli itself. The broccoli was only used, by Sid, as self-defence, turning the dinosaur into another vegetable.
