Continuity mistake: After Toady realizes what the burning fuse is for, and the explosion occurs, his hat is blown off, and he starts to shield his face with his arms. After the cut, the figure that gets blown apart has the hat on, the legs below the knees are at wrong angles, and it's facing into the explosion rather than being turned a quarter way around.
Continuity mistake: In the opening chase, the camera looks at Max, then the goons chasing him. One shot, they're about two hundred feet or so behind him. The next shot, and they're about twenty to thirty feet back, and trying to gain.
Visible crew/equipment: When Max and the Gyro captain are watching the attack on the fleeing woman after she is pulled by the bikers from the wrecked car, as the gyro captains' smile turns to a look of shock and moves the binoculars down, you can see a reflector screen in both lenses.
Visible crew/equipment: After Papagallo tells the warrior woman to get rid of Max you can see Max's' V8 being towed into the compound and reflected on the side you can see a cameraman holding a camera then a second later as the shot changes to the side of the car a boom mic is visible also reflected on the car.
Continuity mistake: As Max gets out his car after first finding the Gyro Copter there is a shot from directly above him and you can see no shadows behind his car on the sand, then as the shot changes to Max's' face as he approaches the Gyro Copter there is a long deep shadow of a tree branch cast just behind his car.
Answer: The car is either a FORD XA Falcon or Fiarmont Coupe, built in the early 1970s. The X series falcons were only availible in Australia, and you'll find most of the vechiles in these movies (the cars at least) are some hybrid of the Falcon. Here's a link to the car: http://www.madmaxmovies.com/cars/madmax2/RedXACoupe/index.html. and to the site in general: http://www.madmaxmovies.com/cars/madmax2/.
