Continuity mistake: In the scene where Belushi and Jerry Lee (the dog) enter the warehouse, Belushi askes everyone to stop what they are doing and even has the forklift driver lift him up so he can talk to them. Once he is done talking, he tells the lift driver to bring him down. The next few shots where they show Belushi walking to his car, if you look closely, you will see that the fork lift is back up in the air, but there were no sounds and there isn't another lift to be found. Continuity mistake: During the car chase between the Mustang and the Mercedes, the cream on Jerry Lee's face changes throughout. (00:56:25)
Continuity mistake: When the Lyman realises that Dooley's bomb detonator is a fake, he starts running away. He must be some sprinter, because in the first shot he's at the end of the semi trailer, and in the next shot he's a good 400m away. He simply could never have gotten that far away in a split second. Continuity mistake: Towards the end, Dooley is talking to the dog, whom he presumes is dying. The dog is lying on a gurney, supposedly unconscious but we keep seeing him sneaking peeks at his partner. There were apparently two dogs used for this scene. When the dog is lying absolutely still, he has a black muzzle. When he sneaks a peek at Dooley, his muzzle is brown. This happens several times throughout the scene. (01:34:00)
Continuity mistake: When James Belushi is raiding the warehouse with Jerry Lee, after he has come down from the forklift he is standing about 15 feet from his car in the elevated shot when he says, "Jerry Lee, come." When the shot changes to behind his car, he is much closer (approx. 3 feet). (00:25:25)
Continuity mistake: When Dooley's car is being shot at from the chopper, the damage done is constantly changing depending on the angle. (00:04:20)
Continuity mistake: Jerry leans down to the backseat floor of the Red Mercedes in the dealership, but in the next shot from outside the car, he's standing up straight again. (01:05:15)
