Other mistake: The dead blonde whose "throat was slit" is shown up-close twice (once in real time and once in a crime photo) and her neck is unharmed, with blood only underneath her head.

Other mistake: Cavanaugh says that Chris has been going to the same diner at 8:09 twice a week. But before that it was 9:08 both in the morning and afternoon. This can be confirmed by watching the early part of the movie and looking at Chris's watch.

Other mistake: In the beginning of the movie, Nicolas Cage is trying to evade security while at the Golden Nugget in Fremont (Downtown Las Vegas). While making his escape out of the hotel, he exits the main entrance across from Paris Casino on the Las Vegas strip, 4 miles away.

Continuity mistake: After Cris pretends to be killed by the sniper, the terrorist tries to make a call, in the close ups he uses a Nokia 1100 but in the other shots looks like a different phone.
