Other mistake: In the motorbike chase scene there is a lot of flying road dust even in front of the bike in the lead. Probably from the camera vehicle.
Visible crew/equipment: When Indy Sr. is shot, two big stage lights are reflected on his glasses.
Continuity mistake: In the zeppelin, after Indy says "no ticket", everyone searches for their tickets and waves it at Indy. When the angle changes, a frame later, the people are searching for their tickets, no one is showing one.
Revealing mistake: In the temple, when Indy walks on air, he briefly becomes semi-invisible due to the matte effect.
Continuity mistake: The crater Indy's car falls into becomes bigger and way deeper between the first and second shot.
Continuity mistake: When the driver of the tank is shot and he changes the direction of where the tank is going, Indiana gets up, with his strap still stuck on the nozzle. However, in the next shot, he's become clear of being stuck. There's no way he could have gotten his strap undone so quickly.
Continuity mistake: Near the end, in the "Leap of Faith" scene, Jones steps off the edge of the abyss and discovers an ingeniously-camouflaged stone bridge. The camera pans to show the camouflage effect from another angle, and it's obvious that the stone bridge is only about one foot thick from one end to the other. Relieved, Jones scampers across to the other side, and the camera cuts again to show that the bridge is now a full three feet thick.
Continuity mistake: Before the propeller chops the boat, Elsa leaves and looks at Indy. Right then, the camera is reflected on her boat's windshield.
Continuity mistake: In the library before he goes through the hole in the floor, Indiana takes the map out of the diary and gives the diary to Marcus. When Indiana gets caught trying to rescue his dad, they take the diary from him and say Marcus has the map.
Suggested correction: You've forgotten the scene at Donovan's apartment. There, Indy could have cut the page and give it to Brody off-screen.
Continuity mistake: When the soldier walks up the steps to attempt the first trial with his sword drawn, in the shots from the front, he's holding the sword on his right side. In the shots from behind, he's holding it on his left side.
Continuity mistake: During the boat chase, after the one boat blows up, another comes up behind Jones and Elsa. Jones starts turning the boat. In the next shot, the man in the boat behind them is shooting at them. They're not turning, they're going straight.
Continuity mistake: Before they make the second fighter pilot crash, Henry hands his bag to Indy. In that shot, the handle of Henry's umbrella is closer to Indy's left shoulder. But, in the next shot from in front of Indy, the handle is closer to his right shoulder. Then, when Henry pulls the umbrella out, the handle is back near Indy's left shoulder.
Continuity mistake: In the cave, young Indy is giving instructions, his hair is down both sides of his face. When he removes the snake saying "It's only a snake", his hair style is changed.
Continuity mistake: The gap between Indy and the chasing motorbikes changes considerably between shots, close to him than far apart the close again and at the checkpoint out of sight.
Continuity mistake: The dirt road the solo motorbike rider takes heading towards Indy is completely different to the road Indy uses just after he knocks the solo rider off.
Continuity mistake: When Indy is on the boat and says "Too small for two of us!", it pans down and you can see the cross halfway out of Indy's pouch. Both of the arms and head are on the outside. Only the bottom half is in his pouch. The bad guy then proceeds to open the pouch, revealing only the top before taking it out.
Other mistake: After getting on aboard the dirigible, Henry is holding a German newspaper when addressing Indy. But he'd have a hard time reading it as it's upside down. Even if he's just trying to hide, holding an upside-down newspaper would draw the attention of suspicious guards.
Suggested correction: Henry Jones Sr. doesn't have his glasses in this scene. He can't really see anything on the newspaper, that's why he is holding it upside down.
I'd say that, more than anything, a hasty attempt to blend in would be more likely the culprit. Even without the spectacles, Henry, being the fastidious person he is, would have righted the paper, with or without eyewear.
But since he couldn't see the letters, how would he have righted the newspaper (or even noticed it was upside down)?
Ipon! (Japanese for "point.") I can see your point; however, I would ask that the following be considered: that there is usually more than just letters and words in newsprint. Even if not viewed, pictures are good indicators of the newspaper's orientation.
Continuity mistake: When they first meet, Walter Donovan hands Indiana the glass of champagne almost filled to the brim. The next shot shows Indy's glass with much less champagne in it.
Continuity mistake: Indiana has his satchel on him at the beginning of the 3 challenges and up to the point when he is entering the resting place of the grail. As soon as he enters the cavern where the Knight is, and he stands up, he no longer has the satchel.
Continuity mistake: Young Indy escapes from the four diggers, and you can see them exit the cave after him as he pauses. He moves down to and jumps onto the horse (missing the first time). He gets on the horse and you see the diggers, starting running from the exact same place that they were. It's like they paused their pursuit while the camera was not on them. If they kept running, they would've easily caught up with him before he jumped down.
