Highlander II: The Quickening

Corrected entry: In Highlander 2 they say that all Highlanders are born on another planet. But in the first Highlander, McLeod is born in Scotland.

Correction: The second movie is NOT part of the Highlander continuity. Everyone involved in this film admits that it isn't part of the Highlander mythos. Now if we could just figure out why they bothered making it...

Corrected entry: This error is in the scene with Katana and the cab driver Jerry. When the cab is arriving at the TSC meeting building look to the extreme right and you can see the sun rising between two buildings and the sky is a nice golden yellow colour. Hang on...isn't there supposed to be a shield up leaving the planet in constant darkness with fancy streams of colour? Sack the Special Effects guys. This was in widescreen - may not be visible in pan & scan.

Correction: It's not the sun rising, it's a streetlight, and the sky is a red-orange colour.

Corrected entry: When Katana smashes the windscreen of the taxi, it shatters. Not likely when Windscreens have been laminated for a VERY long time.

Correction: I've had plenty of windshields shatter over the years, cars, semi-trucks and SUVs. They do shatter, even if laminated. The only thing laminating (or safety glass) does is make the glass shards smaller and rounder, so as not to have large jagged pieces of glass in the window frame. In the case of laminated glass (not all windshields are laminated) the plastic will hold the shattered glass mostly in one piece, but it is still possible to get holes and small pieces of glass flying.

Continuity mistake: Near the end of the movie, Katana and Blake are worrying about the possibility that MacLeod has spoken with Neyman and knows the exact coordinates of the hole in the shield. That's odd, because a few scenes before we see Katana and Blake monitoring MacLeod as he speaks with Neyman in the prison Max. There Neyman tells the coordinates. So they know he knows.

Katana: The remains of your mortal wife. So frail. So earthy. So very dead.
Conner MacLeod: At least she's at peace.
Katana: Peace is highly overrated.
Conner MacLeod: Things don't change, Katana, I like that. After all these years, you're still a jerk.

Trivia: This film's plot (ret-conning in an extra-terrestrial origin for the immortals) was so notoriously hated among fans of the original film, it was completely disregarded in subsequent sequels, and an alternate cut of this film (removing all alien references) was later released to appease fans.

Question: Can anyone give a reason as to why he was made younger after being hit with that gas tanker with the lips? It's true that he was once again immortal, but that doesn't mean that he should've reverted to the age he was in the first film.

Answer: Killing another immortal grants you their life energy. The energy returned his youth and powers.
