Revealing mistake: MAC is grabbing the electric fence, being blown backward by the helicopter. When he releases his grip, wires can be seen attached to his hands. (00:10:35)
Revealing mistake: When the man's car swerves out of control after MAC lands on his windshield, a pile-up occurs. In this scene, it can be seen that the drivers are either absent, or dummies. (00:11:00)
Revealing mistake: In the pile up scene, due to MAC covering up a man's windshield, a huge truck swerves and flies over a car, only the big black ramp used for the stunt is rather visible. (00:11:00)
Revealing mistake: After Debbie and Eric have captured MAC in the vacuum, it goes out of control, causing Debbie to get flung around the room. The track that goes up the wall, across the ceiling, down the other wall and across the floor is visible for this stunt. (00:42:20)
Revealing mistake: When Mac is escaping down the hill in the yellow toy car, the image is reversed - the "KC" lights are mirrored. (00:51:00)
Revealing mistake: When Eric and Debbie enter McDonalds, they go to a table and then Courtney comes over and gives them a drink each, however it is clear that the cups are empty, as they are clear and move around lightly and make hollow sounding noises. (01:01:00)
Revealing mistake: A wire can briefly be seen on MAC, as he does the flips in the air, in McDonalds, in the teddy suit. (01:02:55)
Revealing mistake: When Eric is riding through the hills and fields away from the cops, with MAC in his lap, ramps can be seen to help him with maneuvering his wheelchair easily. (01:04:15)
Revealing mistake: Supposedly Mac makes the unplugged TV work with his energy, and Eric looks at it in awe and inspects its loose cables. But if you look at the right side of the TV, you'll see there's another black cable coming out of it hidden among the cardboard boxes, which makes the whole trick work.
Revealing mistake: When Eric falls off the cliff and into the water, you can see in the overhead shot that Eric is a dummy.
Revealing mistake: After the vacuum cleaner scene, Eric tilts the Coke can completely to give some to Mac but no liquid falls out, revealing it's empty.
Revealing mistake: Wires lowering the alien spaceship are perfectly visible. In the following close-up they're gone.
Revealing mistake: When the huge explosion happens, it is blatantly obvious that Eric and his wheelchair are superimposed in the shot. When the main scene shakes a bit, the superimposed wheelchair does not move. This same explosion minus Eric and his wheelchair appears in an alternate ending. It's the same exact shot.
Revealing mistake: When Eric fails into the water, you see MAC sit up into the shot. This was obviously done by rear projection, with MAC inserted into the shot. Notice the difference in contrast between MAC and the other shot in front of it.
Revealing mistake: When MAC is stuck to the windshield at the beginning, in one shot it appears he is just a sticker.
Revealing mistake: When Mac exits the vacuum cleaner, he is supposed to drink soda from a straw, but no liquid is seen going through it.
Revealing mistake: When Eric exits McDonald's, Mac's eyes are two big bulky motionless balls, revealing it's been changed for a puppet.
Revealing mistake: When Mac dances with Debbie at McDonald's, disguised as a bear, he turns his head backwards and his neck is visible, revealing a human coloured skin.
Revealing mistake: Instead of Mac grabbing the cup with his fingers, the cup suddenly seems stuck to the hand, revealing the hidden sticky system.
Revealing mistake: In McDonald's when Mac stretches his arm, notice that it's separated several inches from his body and much thicker, and is really a big sleeve coming form under Eric's armpit. In fact, you can see Mac's real arm next to his body, hanging down.
