Corrected entry: Frank complains that his father bought him a left-handed desk even though he is not left-handed. Later in the movie, he is seen playing tennis left-handed.
The Squid and the Whale (2005)
1 corrected entry
Directed by: Noah Baumbach
Starring: Jeff Daniels, Laura Linney, Jesse Eisenberg, Owen Kline
Factual error: In the middle of the movie, Walt is waiting on a subway platform. A train goes by, and you can see an American flag on the side of the train. Flag decals weren't put on New York subway trains until after the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001.
Walt Berkman: It's Welles' masterpiece, really. Many people think it's Citizen Kane, but Magnificent Ambersons, if it hadn't been ruined by the studio, would've been his crowning achievement. As it is, it's still brilliant. It's the old story, genius not being recognized by the industry.
Lance: It sounds great. Who's in it?
Walt Berkman: Orson Welles? I don't know, I haven't seen it yet. I've seen stills.

Correction: I write with my left hand but play tennis with my right so it is entirely possible that Frank writes with his right hand and plays tennis with his left.
