Continuity mistake: When Sa is trying to make music with the leaves, at the end of one shot, his elbows are lowered, but when the camera cuts to an angle behind him, his elbows are suddenly raised. (00:41:04)
Revealing mistake: When Sa shows Ricky that his tongue has been cut out, in the close-up shot of his mouth, it is apparent that his mouth has been replaced with a fake prop mouth. The skin, lips and teeth do not resemble how human skin, lips and teeth appear in any way. (00:42:02)
Continuity mistake: When Sa hands out the leaves for Ricky to use, the leaves are positioned on his fingers in one shot, but when the shot cuts, the leaves are suddenly positioned on his palm. (00:43:35)
Revealing mistake: When the gang of Four show Sa the dead body of Hai lying on the bed, the body shown on the bed is a fake dummy body and not a real human body. (00:45:22)
Continuity mistake: After revealing Hai's body to Sa, Tarzan points to a back tattoo that belonged to Hai that is stuck to the wall, pointing with his right hand. After asking him if he thinks he should avenge his death, Tarzan begins to lower his right arm. At the end of the shot, Tarzan's arm is still raised slightly, but in the next shot, his arm is lowered completely. (00:45:30)
Revealing mistake: When Wong Chun cuts the skin off Sa's lower face, in the close-up shot of his face getting skinned, it is apparent that Sa has been replaced with a dummy. (00:45:50)
Revealing mistake: When Wong Chun kicks Ricky across the courtyard after he sets the plants on fire, a wire can be seen attached to Ricky's trousers just as he begins to lift off the ground and get hoisted backwards. (00:49:03)
Continuity mistake: When Ricky stands back up to start fighting with Wong Chun again, a slash wound can be seen on his cheek, positioned beneath his nose. When White God appears to join the fight seconds later, the slash wound on his cheek has now moved up his face to be level with his nose. (00:51:40 - 00:52:13)
Revealing mistake: Whilst the cell is filling with cement, Ricky runs over to the steel door and bursts through it to escape. In the shot of him bursting through the door, we can see that the interior of the door is extremely thin and is barely a millimeter deep, revealing that it is a fake prop door and not steel. (00:53:45)
Continuity mistake: When the warden's car pulls over at the prison, the car stops where the back right hand side tyre is positioned a foot or two away from the red carpet. In a close-up shot of the warden getting out, the car is suddenly much closer to the red carpet. (00:56:17)
Other mistake: Just after the warden gets out of the car, greets the assistant warden and walks away, the camera stays on the assistant warden for a few seconds with no-one else visible in the shot. He then feels a pain in his foot. A close-up shot of his foot is then shown where it is revealed the warden's son is standing right next to him and has stood on his foot. The warden's son should have been visible in the previous shot when he first stepped on the assistant warden's foot as several feet are shown on both sides of the assistant warden, but was not visible at all. (00:56:29)
Continuity mistake: When the warden's son begins walking down the red carpet and trips up, the shadows of the prison guards can be seen cast on the carpet. When the assistant warden goes to help him up a few seconds later, the shadows of the guards have disappeared from the carpet. (00:56:58)
Visible crew/equipment: When the warden's son starts hugging his father's leg after tripping up on the red carpet, the camera pans upwards towards the warden, and he begins to turn his head. When he does this, white reflector screens can be seen reflected in his glasses. (00:57:15)
Continuity mistake: When Ricky retaliates after Tarzan tries to squeeze his head through the jail cell bars, there is some blood shown on his face. A couple seconds later, just after he punches Tarzan's arm, there is drastically much more blood on his face. (01:02:10)
Revealing mistake: When Ricky punches Tarzan's jaw, in the shot where Ricky's fist goes through the bottom of Tarzan's jaw and up through his mouth, Tarzan has been replaced with a dummy. (01:02:20)
Other mistake: When the ceiling in the jail cell has lowered all the way to the ground, Tarzan is crushed by it and killed. Despite Tarzan's body being crushed by the ceiling, the ceiling touches the ground incredibly smoothly. The lowering of the ceiling is in no way delayed or slowed down by Tarzan's body being in the way, and the sound of the ceiling touching the ground is in no way muffled or affected by Tarzan's body being crushed. (01:04:58)
Other mistake: Just after Tarzan has been crushed and killed by the ceiling being lowered to the ground, Ricky finds a photo of Tarzan and his mother that slipped out of the jail cell, just in front of the entrance beforehand. There is no way this picture could have slipped out of the cell. He was standing nowhere near the entrance to the cell whilst he was being crushed and anytime he was shown standing near the entrance whilst he was fighting with Ricky, so nothing could have happened for the photo to unintentionally slip out of his pocket and out of the cell. (01:05:05)
Audio problem: Just after the warden tells the inmates if Ricky can stay buried alive for seven days, he'll consider him a free man, his son runs up to the hole Ricky is in. He is heard laughing whilst running up to the hole, but his chest and stomach aren't shown moving along with the laughing, implying the laughs were dubbed in afterwards. (01:07:50)
Audio problem: When Wong Chun bursts out of the manhole cover to kick the dog into two pieces, he screams aloud, but his mouth doesn't move. (01:09:15)
Continuity mistake: When Ricky's girlfriend jumps off the roof, her body is positioned so that her legs are facing towards the building, but when she falls to the ground in the next shot, her body is suddenly facing the opposite direction, as we can see her legs are facing away from the building. (01:11:27)
