Audio problem: Near the beginning, when the two metal monkeys strike the Central Park Zoo bell, it makes two different tones. As it's the same bell they're hitting, and they hit it at the very same vertical axis, it should make the same tone both times.
Madagascar (2005)
1 audio problem
Directed by: Tom McGrath, Eric Darnell
Starring: Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith, Cedric the Entertainer, David Schwimmer
Factual error: In the sequence where the animals get on the first subway, it says they are on the 59th St subway. But, there is no 59th St subway in NY. The only subway station close to 59 is the 57th St subway.
Suggested correction: While the other correction lists a 59th street, that's in Brooklyn. There is one in Manhattan though, 59th - Columbus Circle, which is also the south-west corner of Central Park.
Suggested correction: There is definitely a 59th street subway station: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/59th_Street_ (BMT_Fourth_Avenue_Line).
Private: Skipper, should we tell them the ship is out of gas?
Skipper: Nah. Just smile and wave, boys. Smile and wave.
Trivia: When Alex (voiced by Ben Stiller) is taking pictures for the crowd in the beginning he strikes the famous "blue steel" pose from another one of Ben Stiller's movies, "Zoolander".
Question: This applies to both Madagascar movies. Does anybody know why Sasha Baron Cohen (Julian the lemur) never shows his face and is barely mentioned in the DVDs for these movies?
Answer: Sacha Baron Cohen is a very private man; he is rarely seen in public, and when he is in public, he is usually dressed as some of his other movie roles (Borat, Bruno, etc.) He has even mentioned once that he wants his characters to be famous, but he wants to live a normal life, so he is rarely interviewed by press.
