Corrected entry: At the start in the wide shot of town, when the stage coach enters town three horse back riders pass the coach. The very next shot from the town shows the riders now trailing the coach.
The Big Country (1958)
1 corrected entry
Directed by: William Wyler
Starring: Charlton Heston, Gregory Peck, Jean Simmons, Carroll Baker
Revealing mistake: When McKay and Ramon are riding into Blanco Canyon to rescue Julie, you can see a diesel loading shovel with its bucket raised in the bottom of the frame of one of the scenic shots. Presumably the scene was shot in a quarry and they didn't get all the equipment out.
Major Terrill: There's no prettier sight in the world than 10,000 head of cattle... unless it's 50,000.
Trivia: Burl Ives plays Rufus Hannassey, the father of Buck Hannassey (Chuck Connors). In real life, Ives was only 11 years older than Connors.

Correction: There are two coaches entering the town, not one! The one we have been following in the previous shots is now heading towards us. The coach (smaller) that is being passed by the riders is heading away from us. The shot from the town that is being referred to here shows the riders now heading towards us, therefore (between the shots) they must have magically managed to zip unnoticed from one side of the town to the other and to have changed direction by 180°.
