Corrected entry: When Ned first interrupts Jane reading aloud, she tells him it is from a 6-volume novel. She keeps one volume on the bed with her and he picks up another pile on the chair, putting them on the typewriter before he sits down. However there's 6 books in the pile he moved, plus the one she keeps - that's SEVEN books.
Corrected entry: When the crew is trying to rescue Bill, you can see the personal mics on their chests.
Correction: Steve Zissou and Team Zissou film documentaries. Their whole lives center around the documentary and they are always "on" - everything is filmed for possible inclusion in the documentary. It is not unexpected (or unreasonable) that they will always be mic'ed for sound as well.
Corrected entry: When they go to investigate the phantom signal, just after Ned asks Zissou if he can call him "dad", Zissou orders the crew to go ahead by clicking his fingers. This is impossible, they're under water.
Correction: Snapping his fingers is a running joke through-out the movie.
Correction: That doesn't mean that all the books are from the same novel. It's a 6 volume novel and another book in the pile.
