Continuity mistake: In the scene where Alfie sees Julie in the cafe with Adam, he walks out to his scooter. They show him put on his scarf. Then for a second, it disappears, then reappears.
Continuity mistake: In the absinthe-fuelled scene between Liz and Alfie when they fall about each other on the reclining sofa, the stereo remote control is visible in all shots half tucked under the pillow. Until the end when Liz gets up and the shot changes angle, the stereo remote control has disappeared completely.
Continuity mistake: When Liz is making the absinthe drinks, the bowl of sugar cubes disappears from the bar.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Alfie picks up Nikki and her friends at the park on Christmas Eve, as he drives away - supposedly on a limousine (this happens just a few seconds before the 49 minute mark), you can see the car isn't a limousine but a standard-sized car. Also, just a few shots before that Alfie takes a drag from his cigarette but doesn't put it back in his mouth. Yet when he starts driving he has his both hands on the wheel and the cigarette in his mouth.
Continuity mistake: When Lonette and Alfie are in the bar, Lonette is talking about the ex-girlfriend with the fake boobs and there is a close up of two shot glasses on the bar. They're right next to each other. Then there's a shot of Alfie and Lonette and the glasses have magically moved apart.
Answer: As I understood it, when she broke the glass, she was being a bit more wild than usual, which caused Alfie to suddenly realise that her loudness could be annoying. He found her wildness attractive to a point, but she was being more wild than he was prepared to accept.
